VRBMF1 out now...... Just updated my phone.

Did my update this morning. Noticed about 3 db better 4G signal in same spots. However, my real issue was the fact once I got down to 2 bars of 4G data crawled or was non-existent even though I had "acceptable" signal. Will have to test that today. If this does fix the issue have to give kudos to VZW for getting this out much faster than we thought they could do it.

Also, I did get the new app Enterprise Permissions (you have to go to Application Manager and All Apps to see it). Not sure what that does, but it can be disabled. Also, the old Caller Name ID app is still showing in my Disabled area at the bottom as it was before.

Enterprise Solutions lets you send down a landing party and look for green chicks.

Actually its for setting up Exchange Mail/Calendar/Contact syncing I believe.

I deferred the update since I never updated to the faulty version and wanted to make sure this update was actually functional. Sounds like it's working for people so far; hopefully that continues!

My phone is rooted and here's what I did that worked for me:

1. Locked the bootloader using EZ-Unlock 1.2
2. Using EZ-Recovery 2.2, I flashed the stock recovery
3. Backed up root access using OTA Root Keeper
4. Downloaded and installed the OTA
5. Restored root access using OTA Root Keeper
6. Used EZ-Recovery 2.2. to flash TWRP recovery in place of the stock recovery
7. Unlocked bootloader using EZ-Unlock 1.2

Before beginning this process I installed Superuser from ClockWorkMod and updated the binary.

Oh, and after rebooting I uninstalled the Caller ID app that was included with the OTA update.

Did anyone else lose there ability to swipe to call with this new update?
For some odd reason when you try to swipe to call, you have to start your swipe slightly to the right of the picture. I'm not sure why they messed with something that worked so well.
For the record, my friend has a Sprint GS3 and got an update and they did the same thing there.

Battery life still seems to deplete rapidly. 4g and even 3g signal seems better, but it 6 hours off the charger with minimal use and I'm at 37% - if anything, battery life is worse today!

I deferred the update to 4 days from now. Does anyone know when the date comes up will it automatically update or will it ask (for permission) again?

I still have multi window after the update and so far so good with the txt msgs only time will tell

my phone has slowed.. and i mean way down.. not as snappy.. but texts are working for me..

You half to start the swipe from just before the picture on the contact. It still works.

It will ask you again. It just repeats the message of the update waiting for you and you can choose to defer it again.

Glad I'm not going crazy, although for me this started in the MD3 update. As Adam noted, for some reason you now have to start the swipe just to the right of the picture. I have no idea why they thought this was an improvement...

Thanks! I was really confused, and after using it for so long I was frustrated doing it the old way Haha.
