Im currently running lollipop 5.1 and changed my mind and don't want to install marshmallow 6.0, but it's already been downloaded so my phone keeps periodically asking me to install the update - for now I've been ignoring the prompting.

I want to just delete the download off the phone and will ignore future prompts to download 6.0 again.

Can you guys help? I'm not a super phone "geek" so I'll need a little patience and a maybe a quick step by step on how to do it.

Really appreciate it and Thank you!

At some point it will probably just force the update. I have heard this from previous users. In the meantime go into file explorer and search the Android folder. I'm just guessing it may be here as I've never actually tried to find and delete an update, but search and you'll find it somewhere.

^ Yep, I cracked under pressure and decided to just allow the upgrade to install.

I'm pretty pleased with the overall experience and features, especially the battery life, but then again i had only owned the my phone for 24 hours (running Lollipop) before i ended up installing Marshmallow; but battery life seems to be excellent about a week into it. I love how Marshmallow allows you to edit app permissions so active and background apps aren't using unnecessary power. The Doze feature may actually being working well, but then again like i saidi cant really compare them head to head, because i had only owned/used the phone running lollipop for about 24 hrs before upgrading to Marshmallow.

How can they do this? Marshmallow will turn any older flagship--say Samsung S5--into a feature phone.

ETA: If you have a 32G or 64G internal card, your phone will probably be fine on Marshmallow, but if it's only 16G you will be worse than disappointed.
