Pressing 1 is standard voice mail not visual voice mail. As I understand it, they can't co-eixst. When you download the VVM ap and install it and ATT insures you are provisioned, you use the app not 1 to access voice mai.
So are we notified of new voicemails in the pull down notification bar? If so, what happens when we tap on the notification, does it dial in to listen to the voicemail message or does it open up the VVM app?
I have used youmail on my phone, but had to delete it when the new version kept duplicating my contacts list and merging them. They promise a new version will come out addressing this issue; if so I will try again.
I have never used AT&T's VVM. Does ATT's VM send you a text and/or email message for new VM's and missed calls?

In the past if you had used the messaging app it deactived VVM on the system. I would clear the data and clear the default, if set, on the messaging app then ask ATT to RESET the VVM provisioning on your account restart the phone and try the VVM app again. That worked in the past. And of course do not touch that messaging app while using VVM.
