Hi Kim! Thanks for replying to our inquires. What would happen if the phone ordered through Wirefly came out to be defective? Would I be charged for deactivating a defective phone?

Hi! :-) If your phone is defective, and you are within your trial period (14 days) you can contact us and we will be happy to process an exchange for you. If you are outside of your trial period, you can go directly to the carrier and they will assist you with a warranty claim for the defective phone. If a phone is replaced for a warranty claim or through your insurance, the carrier does not report the deactivation to us and there is nothing to worry about regarding the instant savings discount. Quick question, what happens if I were to lose my phone during this 181 day period? If I activated another phone on this line say my old phone, would I be subject to this 400 dollar fee?

I don't think losing your phone would mean anything for the fee. Losing your phone is not the same as actually cancelling your account with the carrier. As long as your phone number is still active on the carrier, you have not "broken" the contract. You can activate another phone on the carrier with the same phone number.
