This device is a beast. If only it had a physical keyboard I would make it my daily device.. I can only say that the phone is in testing and doing quite well. Battery life isnt great but that mainly due to the fact that its pushing Sense UI which has alot of things going on.. Hopefully they will optimize it to get the best of both worlds.. otherwise under clocking may be the only solution.

Is the Passion retaining the 4.3 screen from the HD2? I know some seem to think it will be similar to the Droid's screen size.

My Droid is going back when I get my new Tour replacement due to Trackbal issues......not because the Droid is not an awesome phone, but because the keyboard doesn't like my hands. If I can't use the physical keyboard like I want to, I might as well wait for a nice bigger/meatier version on the Eris.

Any info you have for us is sure apreciated, I know your posts over at Crackberry were always spot on pertaining to unreleased BB's currently in testing.

if you want something thinner and lighter than the droid, and don't care about the physical keyboard, it's going to be the device to have.

plus sense (and hopefully 2.0) on a screen like that will be an eye melting experience.

I do not need a physical keyboard, just get the battery life to run like the Blackberry Bold 9700 the battery life is amazing!!! Sense plus 2.0 would make this phone almost flawless. Android would simply need a superior media player to make everyone happy.

Don't like the Droid text input. The Passion/Predator sounds like it might be the Android phone that works for me. I just hope it's this Q4 or I will upgrade my Storm1 for the Storm2 until a better Android phone comes out.

The Storm2 keyboard is much improved over the Storm1. I really can fly on it. Not so much on the Droid. Hopefully the Passion/Predator will be the one to break my crackberry addiction.

Adiliyo its already built and live. They just have to go thru all the red tape. They had it on Boy Genius and its now on phone arena HTC Passion (Phone Arena) the only thing is theres no release date. The earliest it could come out is rite before christmas. VZW usually tells the release date at 3 weeks before the phone drops to build hype. Its not looking good for the end of this year.

its a hoax brosef... sorry itll be out Q1... if it was coming out now the internet would be crawling wit info and pics... remember how much stuff we got on the droid in the month before it came out? I kno we all want it to be true but its not.

I think 4.3 is a bit larger for a phone. I had a 4.3in video player back in the day and that was a bit on the large size. I personally think a 3.8in(like HD1) would have been optimal.

I don't know if anyone has noticed but if you look at the HTC Passion/Dragon pics the actual pictures of the phone show it with a white notification bar like the Droid and other phones w/o Sense. However the screenshots of the said phone show it with a black notification bar...does this mean anything?

Maybe Sense UI has an updated look for 2.0/2.1?

It is also possible that the ones in the wild right now are not running a complete Sense UI yet, and it is behaving much more like stock Android.

I just remembered that you can turn off the sense UI but does the color of the notificantion bar change too? Maybe it is just nothing i really hope HTC somehow manages to get this out soon.
