I never used to have a problem watching Netflix in 1080p in my LG V20 on Verizon's OG unlimited data plan. Now even though my download speed on lte is about 40mbps I only get 720p. If I switch to slower wifi at only 8mbps I immediately get 1080p. You can check using a Netflix video called "Test Pattern".
VZW told me they do not throttle steaming video on my Nationwide 500 unlimited data plan as they do on the new unlimited data plans. Are they lying to me? Can someone on my Verizon data plan check their Netflix app to see if they can get 1080p on LTE? Netflix isn't throttling me cuz I am getting 1080p on slow wifi. I'm afraid VZW is despite claims to the contrary.
How about those with the newest unlimited plus plan? Can you get 1080p in Netflix? Again you need to use Netflix Test Pattern video to check. I set it as a fav on my smart tv so I could quickly find it on phone.
