vzw ota update on my rooted gs4 help

I recently rooted my Verizon Galaxy s4 and today I was promoted to install the update from Verizon. I know you're not supposed to update while rooted because you'll loose root access. My question is, will it brick my phone or cause irreparable damage to the system? I'm not sure how to un-root the phone before installing. Any suggestions or advice on how I can take the update without doing harm?

I just took the OTA update and used rootkeeper before I updated. Worked perfectly and still rooted after successfully installing the VZW update.

Did you use voodoo rootkeeper? Was considering doing the update as well but want to keep root.
