VZW refunding money

it does seem like it's related to people who paid for shipping during the preorder period.

also, bullpride: plugging in the phone for 5 minutes will not translate into a few more hours of use. if it did, I doubt anyone would be complaining.

HTC could have at least thrown in the same battery the nexus one uses instead of giving us this anemic excuse for one.

What complaints? This phone ROCKS. There's not a smartphone in the world right now that would be able to last more than one day with full featured usage. And I don't consider BlackBerries to be smartphones. I switched from BB so trust me, I know!

The refund is for shipping costs if you paid the 8.99 overnight shipping fee. I got the email too. The refund will be credited to whatever form of payment you used to pay for the phone, not debit cards or mail in rebates as suggested above.

If you want to rant about the battery life, please do so in one of the other threads opened on this topic :)

True Verizon did not find a way to cut shipping costs by shiping early. If you used the free shipping code don't expect a refund.
Its only for those that missed the huge banner with the coupon code and payed for overnight shipping. :p

This is all it is, and like Roy said it's only for those that didn't put the code in for free overnight shipping.

For all those complaining about battery life.... Are you really spending 8-12 hours away from a wall outlet, car, computer, etc that you can plug it in for 5 min and get yourself a few more hours of use? Its really not that big a deal to just plug it in somewhere. If you are really worried about the battery life, go back to a phone that does next to nothing and lasts 3 days

Yeah sometimes I find myself in the middle of farm fields trouble shooting GPS units on tractors and combines. 1 miles or more away from anything but a tractor to get me there. And I spend, sometimes all day out there.

So yes I can be away from a home and car charger for more than 5 hours. You attitude is really not needed, remember not everyone works purely in offices or from home.

Let's see the Storm 1 that my Incredible replaced allowed me to send and receive email (pushed) and text messages, accessed the Internet (albiet slowly), received and opened MS Office documents (Word, Excel, Power Point), ran countless apps that performed all kinds of worthwhile tasks, took, saved and allowed the viewing of pictures and video, allowed me to pretty much customize it anyway I wanted and made and received phone calls. Sounds like a pretty smart phone to me. And while I think the Incredible is a far better device and Android a far better OS the battery life of the Storm was far superior and did last more than 24 hours with average use. I won't turn back because I have to remember to charge my Inc more often but the Storm 1 is safetly tucked away and if for some unforseen reason I need to use it as a back up or temporary phone I know there is a reliable Blackberry smartphone at my beck and call.
