Wait just a minute! How 2 Change Black background to White background?

I've seen a couple youtube videos around and some of the general screens they have the default color in the back as white background w/black writing but mine is automatically set to black background w/white writing. How does one go about changing this?

You can change your background to anything you want including what you asked to do under settings and backgrounds.

Look at the top of the S4 forum for my Sticky on the S4 manual that will tell you everything you want to know.

I was able to find out the reverse screen option, but that dosent do it. It just gives me a negative picture look. There has got to be a simplier way. To get white to be the predominant color instead the black screen. I have by the way the sprint version.

I'd like to know if there's a way to do this too please? There are a few other videos like taynxtlvl said where the background colour scheme is white instead of the usual black and for some people's personal preference, this might handy.

Just like what taynxtlvl was asking, I too saw a few videos and images of the Setup screen and Contacts screen with white background and black text. I somehow feel that this will have a better visibility in direct sunlight and in bright lighting. I have used both iphone and HTC Sense UI and also Galaxy S3. I did not have any problem with the former two in direct sunlight, when I was dialing or reading a message, but with S3 I was not able to see a thing under direct sunlight. Even Galaxy Tab have White Background Black Text. I would like to know if it is possible to change background color from black to white in my S4.

Are you talking about the background in contacts?? Mine is white with black text....I haven't changed it. I have TMobile....maybe it depends on carrier??

I'm actually trying to sell my Nexus 4 because of this issue. I HATE the black and can't figure out for the life of me how to change it to white. UGHH!!! I bought mine straight from google. If anyone could help I am interested! I'm thinking about getting a Samsung Galaxy S3 instead if I can't figure out how to change the Nexus 4.

Good day sir, i've downloaded the pdf file that you mentioned and i'm guessing that you are referring to this. But when i tried it it reverts all the colors not only the black and the white.

Hubby has the S3 on Tmobile and he has a bluish/black with white letters on phone dialer and black with white letters in contacts. My S4 like I said is white with black text. He likes his and I like mine....it works. .

All other settings and menus for the phone do have a black background with white text.,,,.only phone and contacts are different.

Negative colors isn't a solution as it will change the WHOLE PHONE into the opposite color, including apps and the Home Screen, not just the settings

WoW! Still know answers after a month of the phone being out. OP here very pleased with the phone but really would love to see the white background.

This is just a guess and i want to get this resolved i do not own one so im gonna be asking for someone to try this then reply please and thank you, 1st try updating phone to latest firm, 2nd try turning power saving on or off and try checkmarking different things in power management if someone could figure this out would be much appreciated i want to buy a gs4 but not if its standard to black background and white text i want white background with black text

It's only available to rooted users as of now. Saw it on xda but can't find the thread again.
