want a custom rom

ok guys i am running 2.3.3 on my x2 and it is rooted i have super user and when it was installing i saw something about busybox so i think i have most of what i need .mind you i have never done this before ever i want a custom rom that has little or no bugs that runs fast and i need a step by step how to for my phone like i said i am a noob and sure dont want a brick paper weight so give me some links and good roms to try thanks in advance guys this is one of the best forums

go over to xda (Droid X2 Android Development - xda-developers) and choose a ROM. I would suggest Eclipse because I have heard really good things about that ROM.

each thread *should* have step by step instructions as the first post. But to my knowledge most of the time it is a similar process

You will need bootstrap recovery for the dx2 to flash any roms. You can find it at xda or rootzwiki. Install it on phone . When using it ur phone must remain on charger.

ok guys i did it i am running eclipse v1.0 yee haw but it seems to be running a little warm should i be concerned or just let it get settled in first time rom flasher

I dunno, my DX2 seems to always be warm lol I wouldn't really think anything of it unless is got really hot

yea updated to v1.2 it is smooth i like it no problems so far a very good fast rom

You gotta follow the dev on twitter, cuz he usually releases the test versions on there before he releases the actual version publicly.

yea i got the v1.2 from xda forums i was reading thru the v1.1 page and someone has a link in it to the new version i am at work now if you do not find it i will post it in link here later tonite.by the way i have been running it with no issues i can find for me

Unless you updated already, how are you running Eclipse 1.0 on your 2.3.3 device? I believe version 1.0 is 2.3.4 based.

An official Version of Eclipse 1.2 Should be out soon. Ive been checking that thread every day. lol

i have updated been running 2.3.4 all of the roms i have run are 2.3.4 gb based i currently have moto ginger funk, eclipse v1.2rc1 , and the new liberty rom also

i my self am new to this but i flashed my x2 with eclipse recently and im enjoing it vary much.i had a freind help me out with mine i tryd to use rom manager once i was rooted but alls i got was boot looped so we had to do a factery reset on it. i watched a lot of youtube vid of this proces and hours on hours of reading and reserch on it. wish u well.
