Had me One for a few weeks now and never noticed till I got home with it that it was rooted. I have no nWed for it to be rooted. It currently has android revolution hd 30.0. Is there much difference between that and the stock 4.3? I noticed in supersu there is a function that says full unroot, will that completely unroot or do I need to go down a different way? Another silly question and it is no doubt no, having my phone rooted does not unlock it for any network? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it will fully unroot but will not return you to stock and will still have the binary count higher than 1.

Sorry, forgot to check back to see how it went. The link above should help, good luck :)

Seems like I have to get my s-off which I can't do because I have the latest hboot. I jave tried the guru verion that my device says is the main version buy still getting signature verify fail. I did get one ruu to say something different, this time it was 43 main version fail. I think my phone has come to an end, stuck on bootloader. I dont know what to do to fix it.

Could sone please tell me what ruu I should be using for this device.

I'd recommend posting on xda-developers. They're more savvy on this kind of stuff :)
I didn't have to unlock the bootloader or do any of the S-Off or S-On stuff so I can't help you with that :( Sorry and once again good luck

Yeah you do need s-off and you can s-off too you just have to use another method on hboot 1.5x. Use this link:

Tried using rumrunner but kept saying error run again and read.

I eventually got it sorted. Had to unlock the bootloader again, once it unlocked the phone booted straight away.

Is there anyway of removing the tampered notification in bootloader?

You can change Tampered via this toolkit. Read and use it.

[TOOL] HTC One (M7) All-In-One Toolkit V3.1 [7-28-2013] [PERM ROOT][Noob-Proof] - xda-developers

Tried that tool kit but couldn't get it to work. Finally managed to get rid of the tampered and change the boot loader to LOCKED and had to get rid of the developer red text on boot up. Once i finished the last step, the phone would not boot up, in boot loader it said tampered again and security warning. I had to unlock the boot loader again and flash the ROM in recovery. Does anyone have any ideas to what could have went wrong and what is the official stock ROM for the ONE?

I don't know what caused that failure, but I'm recommending you to stop trying to change everything. You're still a rookie at this and getting rid of the developer red text is a bit useless. Just use the red bootsplash and you won't see that text. Stick with the most useful stuff. Rooting, s-off and custom roms. Anything further... Not needed.

I don't mind trying things out. Trial and error is how we all learn. I found the galaxy was a lot easier at this kind of stuff.
