Was my phone hacked?

[AC Question]

I pulled my phone (galaxy s4) out of my pocket only to find it was counting down in seconds until I could enter my pin.

I was locked out from apparently entering my pin code too many times. Issue is, I didn't enter my pin at all.

My first thought was maybe someone had hacked into my phone. Or could this be a bug?

Probably. Or someone tried to get into it when you left it somewhere. Did you leave it somewhere where people could get to it?
