Was your Nexus 7 defective or in Perfect condition?

I ordered a 16gig on the 27th from the UK Google Play store. Got my Nexus on the 18th July. The screen was slightly raised on the left. OK to play with, but definitely needed replacing. Called Google on Sat 21st. Got an email to purchase a replacement for free and that arrived yesterday. New one seems fine so just getting that set up, then I'll return the original. Replacement process was less painful than the original order.

Mine is defective. It had a little screen lift, but otherwise seemed ok. After a week the screen went stark white and has pretty bad ghosting.

16Gig, Play Store, orderd on the 27th.

Mine has a bit of the screen lift. I have to say aside from the hour on hold Google was very easy to deal with. Within a day I had an RMA and credit to get a new unit. I also get to keep this one until the new one comes in.
By the way mine is a 16 gig

Blown speaker on the one ordered from Google, returned it and picked up one at Staples. Working great, no problems.

got mine on fri 13th from gamestop... 16gb verison i have glass seperation issue but now my speaker goes in and out...i can be hearing music itll work fine then ill pause it then replay music and there no sound then all of a sudden it starts to work.. still waiting on my replacement gamestop said i have to wait until there next wave which is on aug 7th

Ordered 16 GB from Play Store on June 27. It has the loose screen problem on the left side. Otherwise it works great with no other issues. I will call google soon to get a replacement.

I almost returned it without using it, but then decided to check it out to see if I even really wanted one. I decided I do, but I can wait until they start shipping units that are properly put together.

Once they get the build quality issues sorted I'll be happy to buy another one.

Staples has a 14-day return policy. If they have them in stock, it's probably worth swapping out sooner rather than later, because it'll be less hassle when you're inside the 2-week no-questions-asked return window.

Mine became like Cloudy gray and yet it was like very bright glow or something. I am so darn disappointed. What type of Quality Assurance is this???? This sucks so much... as I had so much confidence on Google
