WatchESPN, NBC Live Extra and NCAA March Madness Apps Broken

Is it a known issue that WatchESPN, NBC Live Extra and NCAA March Madness don't open on stock android 4.4.2? I get an error that says "unfortunately, X has stopped". I've tried clearing cache and data. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Any ideas?

is it a known issue on ALL devices with stock 4.4.2 or just the nexus 7?
Upon reading your post i pulled out my Nexus 5 which is stock 4.4.2 and Watch ESPN is working fine. Been watching sports center on it for 10 minutes.
