Way to free up space using Sprint Stock?

Hello, I was wondering how I would be able to free up space on my LG Optimus S. I recently used the Reborn ROM v2.2.2 as provided by Nick7 and I saw a major change in what I used now. I have only 62.55mb internal memory and I have already put the apps on my sd card. Anyway else to free up space, and I have History Eraser Pro too. Any help would work, thanks!

62mb's free on stock ROM is alot, the most i ever had was like 20. There is a hack/mod though called cache to cache or something, but i don't' know if it works on VD baseband or not. You can also do something dealing with apps2sd where you can move just about any app to your sd card. Both these ways seem kinda complicated though and if you don't know what your doing things can go very wrong with your phone so make sure you read everything you can before you try anything at all.

I agree. If I had 62 MB stock I might not have rooted lol. 62 is enough for just about anything

I'm jealous hearing about the 62 MB. I generally have less than 40 MB at any given time.

Try Nameless V1 if you want to stick as close as possible to stock.

You SHOULD root because that allows you to flash a custom kernel and recovery.

1) you get to fully backup your phone in case you FUBAR stuff
2) custom recovery allows overclocking (if you want)
3) with a custom rom - like Nameless - you can move the dalvik-cache directory to the /cache part
this allows more install room in /data
4) if you're really wanting to watch space - get Root Explorer or ES File explorer or some other app
that allows you to set read/write permission to the /system folder - what this allows you to do is
move system apps that update - like GMail, Google Maps, etc, back into the system folder from
the app directory - which will free up even more space! *KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED*

If you do not understand /data /cache /system locations - do not play with #4
But if you do play with #4 - you did step #1 and backed up your phone first - correct?
