These people will be singing a different tune when their evo is broken and they get it replaced with a 2.2 evo. I understand your frustration. Hang in there!

Heh I told ya to hand in there, but didnt know it was going to be this soon. Guess the evo can be alive again
 
Ah. I was thinking root a 2.1 and install a not-from-Sprint 2.2. If the rant is about the factory 2.2, please continue.

Or buy a 2.1 that hasn't been upgraded on eBay :-)

But lucky for you guys SimpleRoot came out and its the Same Krap Just the Lazy way...

Someone is testing using Simpleroot instead of Unrevoked now on XDA we'll see if it works I hope so... I dont wanna see any Bricked Devices

or maybe take the time to do it this way, so that you gain some knowledge of adb commands, and insight into what you are really doing by using a easy root method.
