I am hoping somebody can offer a rectification of an issue that came out of nowhere starting about 10 days ago with the inability for a Samsung Galaxy A01 to not be able to have the GPS application WAZE come through the car speakers (2024 Hyundai Kona) and listen to the radio at the same time.
Prior to the issue, everything for the past 6 months was flawless and easy (for somebody that has tech knowledge or learning).
All you needed to do was start the vehicle, turn the car radio to AM, FM, or Sirius.
Then open WAZE on the phone, give the starting and ending route and the voice would come over the car speakers (music gets lowered for a few seconds).
For this to occur Phone Settings needed to have Bluetooth on.
WAZE settings: Under Voice & Sound: Sound On
WAZE Voice: English
Guidance Volume on High
Play sound to phone speaker OFF
When I contacted WAZE for technical support 5 emails back and forth were pre-fabed responses and the same thing I tried as well as looked up on-line.
Restart phone
Go into settings turn Bluetooth off for 20 seconds and turn back on
Go into settings turn Airplane mode on for 20 seconds and turn back off
Uninstall WAZE and reinstall, then repeat all steps above
Check daily for the latest updated version of WAZE and download (there have been 2 and have done this)
After downloading the latest version as of yesterday July 29,2024 repeat all steps above
The only way for WAZE to play through the Car Speakers is to go to the vehicle settings and click Bluetooth Audio but this prevents me from listening to anything directly from the car. It is either WAZE or the radio.
I (sure others too) enjoy the convenience of being able to change the stations on the car and listen to WAZE directions and not be stuck listening to 1 station from the phone and WAZE at the same time with the Bluetooth Audio choice.
From the vast knowledge of folks on this site, what do you think happened to freakout WAZE (I have now 3 times uninstalled/installed the application as well as followed every step recommended on-line. Why did it either not work from the day I got the vehicle or continue to work each time I am in the car?
Thank you for your input and suggestions!
