We got pwned by the RAZR!!

As far as I know, Motorola and Verizon have made no such announcement about the Razr getting ICS before the Bionic. The motorola twitter account (and I think Facebook as well) announced that both would get ICS and they would announce timing shortly after Google releases ICS officially (which will be shortly after the Nexus is launched.)

I would bet, since they are similar phones, that they get it the exact same day.

Are you kidding? The razor hasn't even come out yet and you think it is that much superior to the bionic? That is a pretty lame statement to make not even knowing what problems the Razr will have at release. My bionic has had zero issues since I got 4g two Weeks ago.
One thing I know for sure is my bionic will have far better battery with my extended battery. I bet my bionic on it.

Well from the people that have pre reviewed it, it looks pretty sweet. Also my bionic is soooooo slow right now. Trying swipe between pages on the desktop is nearly impossible including opening the app drawer. I am not sure if this as to do with all the apps I have on my front three desktop pages but I can't stand it anymore. I shouldn't have to wait 30 seconds to open my app drawer. Also I lose cell coverage more then I ever did on my OG Droid.

Is any Bionic owners going to pre order the Razr tomorrow? I seriously thinking about it since my phone is running REALLY slow and it keeps losing cell coverage. I just have to figure how to sell my Bionic if I decide to get the Razr.

I dont even own an Bionic and I have to believe it being that slow is either a bad phone or something else is wrong.

I was having issues with connecting my Droid 1 to my PC by USB and force closes until I used the Fix Permission feature on Rom Manager. Maybe something like that or a factory reset can fix your issues. Or find what app(s) are causing you problems.

The Razr has the same SoC as the Bionic, you should not expect any difference. My Bionic is extremely fast.

I think you should get an iphone - no widgets, no real multi-tasking and no unapproved apps - it should stay fast because they don't give you the ability to screw it up.

Pwned again or slapped in the face again. Definitely not ultimate anymore. Since the preorder for the razr is today VZW is letting us know who the New Ruler Of All Machines is. $50.00 off the Bionic. Starting today Bionic has been reduced to 249.99. 1 and 1/2 months. Harsh! Its gonna make it harder to sell the Bionic to buy the new Ruler. Oh well guess better dig out the credit card. More reason to root the bionic now before Nov. update. I can use it on a spare line until I screw it up.

I wrote to Moto about this and how they've screwed their customers, especially their long time customers (Razr, OG Droid, Droid X and Xoom) the answer I received, sorry we don't refund talk to Verizon. Nice customer service, bring out a slightly better spec phone 6 weeks after the "greatest Moto smartphone to rule all machines" comes out. Seriously doubt I'll ever buy a Moto product again until Google fully owns them and fires the entire management team!

I'd also like to thank your employer. As this is my 129th post, I'd like to thank Jesus, the Dalai lama, and okay, Ben's mom. Most of all, I'd like to thank each and every one of you, the Android faithful.

Specifically, I'd like to single out those of you who don't seem to be happy that a "better phone" was released so soon after your superphone. It's disappointments like this that make me think we really have nothing to complain about. Seriously, these are the worst of our problems? There are people in this world that have to use their drinking water supply as a bathroom. That might be an extreme example, but let's get some perspective, people!

Ben, I do agree with your sentiment that the Droid 3 owners do have a more legitimate beef than Bionic owners. Afterall, the Droid 3 never appeared in pictures alongside the Droid 4. The Bionic DID show up in pics alongside the RAZR as we discussed in another thread. Further, the inclusion of LTE is, in my opinion, a bigger step forward than anything the RAZR offers over the Bionic.

In any event, Bionic and Droid 3 owners take heart. At least you can pull your batteries to keep the FBI from tracking you! The rumblings have already started with this concern as it relates to the RAZR and now Droid 4. Bottom line, be happy with what you have. All of these phones are powerhouses, and NONE are iPhones!

i agree with the last two posts. for us bionic owners the razr is more sidegrade then upgrade imo but from droid 3 to droid 4 the Lte alone if i was in those shoes i would be screaming bloodly murder and be really thrown off where as now for me and my bionic is smile at it and go if you ever screw up i can getcha battery!!! can't say that with razr!!!
