Well... it looks like Samsung is the new Nexus maker for 2016

I didn't think Samsung was even interested, but an edge screen and and a wacom stylus on a 5.1" nexus does sound interesting. Do you think it'll have on screen buttons or the derpy ones on other Samsung devices? The last two Samsung nexus devices both had on screen.

Great news, IMO -- I still love my Nexus 10. There's no doubt it will have on-screen buttons. As for a "Nexus S-Pen" -- oh, please, oh, please, oh, please.

I could see a Samsung Nexus however Nexus gets no customizations.. So wouldn't be an edge model and certainly wouldn't be a Note model! April Fools obviously :)

Probably an April fools since it was posted on the first. I wouldn't mind having an s7 or s8 with stock android and all the on time updates.

I got too excited. Then my hopes were dashed that it could be an April fools joke. Grrrr.

Yeah, Google has never made its own Nexus. However, Google HAS made their own Pixel, and a Pixel phone would certainly not be inconceivable. And just speaking for myself, a true, 100% 1st party device is something I'd be VERY excited to see.

However, none of the rumors I've read seem to mention anything about Pixel and the line between the two brand names seems pretty fixed. So I don't think we'll be seeing a Pixel Phone this year, unfortunately.

Which brings me to the Samsung rumor: I don't believe it. The suspicious timing, the very amateur look of the android nerds thing, and the fact that in what little googling I've done on the matter the Internet seems to be completely mum on any Samsung/Nexus business this year all leads me to suspect that we've been "April Fooled".

Cheers!
