OK, I am in LOVE with Siri. It is the most handy thing ever. I walk around with my phone call day saying things like, "remind me to call GE to get microwave fixed" or "buy more TP at Safeway."
I have to say, it is the coolest, most useful piece of "accessory" software I have ever had on a phone. I am really, really gonna miss it. I just wish it was on Android because everything else about the iPhone I am not that enamored of. However, DH now has technolust and is looking at the 4s (he has a iPhone 4 but thought he'd wait till the 5 came out to upgrade).
As for iTunes, yeah, I really don't like all the limitations either. BUT, if you have an iphone, they really do make it super easy to upload songs and apps! They just make it extra inconvenient on other devices. Typical Steve Jobs approach... Let the customer conform to what Apple thinks you need.

I have owned like 24 phones in the last 7 years including windows mobile, bb,iPhone, and android. I had the tbolt since launch and while have 4g was awesome the battery life was a serious downer. Then I decided to rent the rezound. The screen was stupendous ! But sense made it pretty laggy. I install launcher pro which helped but not completely . Also the battery life on 4g was unbelievably bad. The beAts gimmick was just that, all it did was add base. So i returned the rezound, and I got a iPhone 4 on Craigslist and will wait out the mystical arrival of the nexus.
To be honest I forgot how cohesive iOS is. I already have a Mac so iTunes isn't terrible to me. Things I thought I would hate like the smaller screen have its trade offs since now I can use the phone one handed more often and easily. Using programs like Dropbox are a little more painful but if you have documents to go then Dropbox integrates into that and you can edit them in that program . The lack of a weather widget or calendar widget which are the main ones I use is offset by the pull down notification bar which has all that info in there if you want it . There is still a huge chance I may get the nexus but if the battery sucks on 4g on it too then I may wait until the next generation of integrated 4g chips come out in either the iPhone 5 or the tegra 3 devices.

I've never had that happen on my gaming pc.
I must be one of the few people that actually likes Itunes. It's funny because the music player and Itunes is was one of the reasons I bought a Iphone. That's why I'm so happy that Google music is no longer beta. The selection is no were near Itunes but, it will get there; and not bad for just started out.
You do realize that beginning with iOS 5 there is almost NO reason to ever use iTunes right? Updates are over the air and you can manage software/ pictures through iCloud.
Just Saying.
Yeah, I have a 4s. No problems syncing. I have multiple phones Bionic, Razr, Rezound, and soon to have european Nexus. I jump back and forth between phones playing with them.
Anyway, the way iOS is setup now you could really get by without iTunes. The only time I can see someone using it is to pull videos off their phone, but even that can be accomplished with iPhone Explorer which is free.

It didn't sync my Iphone at first until I received an update.

If you mean LA as in "Los Angeles"....nope... A lot of Verizon stores have no 4S' in stock. If you mean LA as in "Louisiana", perhaps.
