We've got the HTC 10 and we're answering your questions right here!

Using the unlocked model on AT&T, do you get VoLTE and/or WiFi calling?

In the review that just came out they say they are reviewing based on the 1.21 firmware. I've been seeing on a couple different forums and the discussion thread over on XDA that a 1.24 firmware update was released, and supposedly it has Camera Fixes listed under major changes. This is just what I'm hearing, so I can't say this is for sure, but it would indicate HTC is actively working on improving it more before release. Heck they may be watching the reviews that come out and seeing what people complain about and even working to improve(I can hope can't I?).

@Alex Dobie,

On the first page of this thread I asked specifically about the HTC screen in direct sunlight. You reply was as follows:
GS7 wins in sunlight, mainly because of the overdrive mode that kicks in when it's really bright. That said, HTC's screen is perfectly fine.

On your review that was posted on here, I didn't get the feel that it was perfectly fine in direct sunlight, in fact you stated it as a negative. What happened to change your mind? A little confused from the "HTC's screen is perfectly fine" to it being a con on the review.

Haven't seen @Alex Dobie reply on this thread for a while, so not really expecting a reply.

This is the problem with most reviews nowadays. They are mostly shallow and do not tell the truth. Very few reviews have mentioned that the software on the HTC 10 is still not finished.
On the other hand, HTC should give review units to journalists running the final (or near final) version of the software. HTC is one of the last OEMs this year to present its flagship. Why not wait a little bit longer to finalize the software and then send devices for review?
Anyway, the HTC 10 is a great smartphone. Is it the best of the world? It depends on what you are looking for.
For my needs it is certainly the best choice and I am getting it in May.

That's what happened with the M8. They were updating it as the reviews were rolling out and there was an update right after it was released. They kept it coming for months too and improved things that people weren't even complaining about. I trust them a lot in that regard.

I have a question that I can't seem to find a answer to.does the htc 10 have a built in fm radio like all previous versions m7,m8,m9.not sure about the USA but rogers up here in Canada didn't block it out on the versions i mentioned butI've heard that some USA carriers did.I was just wondering if it's the same for the m10.I figure if it's a unlocked version and the radio is still a feature it should still be there.

You told me here the screen is good under sunlight but in the review of your website it's said it's bad, I usually don't use Auto brightness but manual and cranked up all the way to max, I know it won't be as good as S7 but will it be good enough? Like reading an SMS under the summer sun?

How fast is the camera shutter speed compared to Samsung S7. I feel like this is the closest we'll get to a htc nexus.

Hmm I know it's weird to nitpick about 0.05 inches, but I'm a little annoyed by the false advertising. Along with the screen issues mentioned by petvas72, I might consider canceling my preorder.

Welcome to America, been here long? Go to a hardware and see if you can find a 2x4 that is actually 2" by 4". Let me know if you can find even one. Buy a bag of chips with mostly air in it and only 1/3 full.

I sure hope a 2x4 is not 2" by 4", that would be pretty small. So, hopefully it is more like 2' by 4' :)

Maybe your not to sure how a 2x4 is measured. Yesterday I needed a 10 foot 2x4. How big is that?

That is different, obviously. By my reckoning, a 2x4 has always been 2 feet by 4 feet.
Now, when you say you need a 10 feet 2x4 then you are adding in the 3rd dimension so things change. Obviously with that it is going to be 10 feet long, 2" in depth and well, could be 4 feet or 4 inches in width :)

Except it isn't 2" x 4"... That was his point. Things are "falsely advertised" all the time. Any given "2x4" will measure 1.5" depth x 3.5" width, FYI.

The 2" and 4" measurement is of the rough sawn board before it is planned down and smoothed to the 1.5X3.5 nominal size we buy at the lumber yard. Not necessarily false advertising, but misleading if you don't know the origin. If you buy rough sawn timber, you will find the true measurement is very close to the 2"x4". I am sure much more than you wanted to know on a tech website.

How is the Bluetooth connectivity and sound? Do you get good WiFi signal strength/connection on it? What messaging app does it have to send Texts? And finally how is the sound quality on calls?
