We've got the LG G3, you've got questions...

Just wanted to add. You can tap once and it will go to your lock screen, then you can use the knock pattern to unlock but I'm assuming you can just disable the knock pattern as your screen unlock method if you just want to tap once to get to the home screen. I'm making some assumptions there but it would be logical.

Again, usual caveats about this thing being a preproduction device, but it seems really good so far, particularly in darker conditions. Here's a sample from the event.

(Edit: This one was taken in HDR mode)

White is okay, colors a bit saturated, red totally blown out in that pic. Halo and everything. I think the software is trying to overcompensate their 13mpix sensor being slightly flat and with a cool color tone. The HDR shot comes off a bit cartoonish at the rez permitted for attachments....

I understand that this is a preproduction model so it may not be perfect, but do you notice any lag when opening/closing apps/loading things? Especially compared to something like the nexus 5 which has absolutely zero lag.

Does the 16gb model come with 2gb RAM and the 32gb model come with 3gb RAM or are the 2 specs independent of one another? Or does the amount of RAM depend on the region and/or carrier?

From all the reports I read, 16gb has 2gb Ram, while the 32 GB will have the 3 GB Ram. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Any chance the USA variants like sprint and Verizon will also have GSM radios onboard like iPhone?

it's confirmed. GSMarena had some explanation that said LG didn't want people overdoing it with the water stuff and the phone, so they left it off entirely. Seems like a lame excuse to not to try and do the waterproofing/dustproofing. At least they should have done it for peace of mind. Thats the only minus point for me with the phone.

Actually a good idea. Saw a guy at the T-Mobile store today with a water damaged Samsung. They don't understand that water resistant and water proof are two different things.

Hello Alex, does the LG G3's camera have a wide-angle lens?
Besides OIS, that was one of my favourite things about the One M7's (rather low-res) camera.

Have you found anything in the UI for controlling the LED? Colors, blink rate, etc for different notifications? Is there any screen based notification like on the Droids or does it just have the LED?
You can change which actions trigger the notification LED, but there doesn't appear to be any way to change the colors they're associated with.
Never tried the back panel button set up. How's that on a daily basis? Easy to get used to? Are they for all functions?
I adjusted really quickly, actually, which surprised me.
Is the stock messaging app Hangouts? I saw it on the homescreen.

ಠ益ಠ
Nope. LG has its own app. Of course there's nothing stopping you from using Hangouts for SMS if you want to

Do u knock knock to turn screen off too?

Posted via Android Central App
In some apps, notably the stock launcher.

Can you set knock on so that you can just tap the screen once and it will come on or does it have to be a pattern?

I haven't found any way to do this yet, but it is the default behaviour if you set up a Knock Code.
When do you think Google will update the YouTube app to play in 1440p?
No idea. But remember most YouTube content is 720 or 1080 anyway.

Does it feel cheap (g2) or high quality (the one)?
It's no M8, but it feels pretty nice in the hand. They weren't kidding when they told us they worked at stopping this thing being a fingerprint magnet.

No lag in the traditional sense. Ask me again when we've got production software.

Two SKUs. As I understand it the 3GB model will always have 32GB of storage, and the 2GB will always have 16GB.

How do u like the keyboard and the extra functionality that LG baked into it?

Posted via Android Central App
The keyboard on this model has Korean characters too. So the proper English keyboard might be different. But it seems to work well enough.

If i play 1080p videos will it look crisp or will I notice the pixel?

You're gonna have to look really close to see any pixels.

Just tested this and the M8 has a slightly wider FOV. G3 isn't far off though.

Hi alex!

What about shooting modes? Is there any slow motion or drama-like mode?
And also, what is the aspect ratio on 13Mpixels? On G2 the 16:9 was only under the 8Mpixels

Thank you,
Konstantinos

There's a slow motion shooting mode that records at 120fps. And you can rapid fire up to 100 stills by holding the shutter key.

Hi all, thank you for this,

Have a few questions,
- Do apps have read/WRITE access to external sdcard ?
- Does it allow to install apps on external SD ?
- Is it able to shoot photo in RAW format (like the ascend P7?)
- Is it able to do REAL long exposure photo (at least up to 8s like oppo n1 ?)
- Is the internal partition unified ? (no 3Gb for apps limitation like on the find7 ?)
- Does it offer FM radio ?

- Is there a way, natively (without root) to have a little smaller nav bar ?

Thank you !
