Any chance its going to be released in January. Or at least more info than the first phones being available by March, and definitely by mid-year.

The speculation is that since accessories are already showing up that it will be available much sooner than then. If the Tb is an upcoming release (as in January) then it doesn't look too bad.

according to the verizon ces show nothing will be out before March in terms of 4g phones. so I don't see january as happening.

I am bitterly disappointed in verizon. I was planning on switching to them from att this month... now I need to figure out what phones to get...

Join the club. Just as many others i was hoping for this to come sooner as I am in dire need of an upgrade (3 years in Feb) and now if nothing is going to be out in March I have no clue where to go.

I feel a lot better about the Inspire 4G now. I only like HTC phones and I was worried about the Thunderbolt blowing it out of the water. It's the exact same phone with a FFC & kickstand, which are two features I could care less about.

The included 32 GB sd card is sick though. That should become the standard for all phones.

To add to that, if you go back and read what was said at the CES announcement today, it was only the MOTOROLA phones that the execs said wouldn't hit til March or later. None of the other execs mentioned dates except for the Motorola folks when talking about their own specific devices.

Unless I missed some other announcement on the interwebs about dates, then this March release for the T-bolt is wrong and the blogs need to be more careful not to bundle one company's announcement about their specific products with other phone manufacturers.

Third party manufacturers' internal product postings show a 1400 mAh standard battery. Slightly smaller than the EVO's, larger than the Desire HD's battery. The same third party manufacturers show listings for extended batteries and cases too:

On a side note: How is it possible that after all the hands-on reviews from all the blogs and websites, we still don't know how much RAM this thing has yet?? My guess would be 768 like the Desire HD... but still, c'mon guys

The ThunderBolt got struck alright and its fried. IF it had launched in January, I was going to get it, but the more I looked at it and compared it to the Bionic and even LG (not sold on them by any stretch yet) I was like no F#%$k way am I getting outdated stuff for the same coin that I can get updated specs around the same month.

so the question in hand here is by looking at the accessories list, has it only been TB accessories showing up in VZW system or were those snapping the pics of the vzw system not focusing on the other phones since all we heard (because of the leak) is TB TB TB

i mean, are there pics of LG Revolution, Moto Bio, and Sammy accessories also showing up somewhere? reason i ask is because i would love TB to be released now in jan.

This was a big let down. They should have released this as the Dinc HD 3G in Early December like they were supposed to and Release the same phone with Dual Core and 4G 1st half of this year as the TB.

It's a great phone, easier to swallow if released in January, not so easy to swallow if released in March.

I think the TB will definitely be fast. The thing is when you compare to other devices, not just as a standalone. And I'd bet the Bionic and Revolution would beat it, stock.

Also, while the TB will be the first LTE phone released, it won't be too far ahead of the Bionic and Revolution (if you believe the reports). So I'm not sure how much will be done for the TB before the others are released.

I saw a benchmark from the Atrix (AT&T version of the Bionic) that was a whopping 2600 and change. So yea, its no surprise that the twin cores out bench the single, but that doesn't make the TB a slow device. Exactly how much faster do you need to archive a Gmail message?

Do I think it would the Bionic is a more powerful device, and probably more worthy of your upgrade - yes.
Is the Thunderbold a doorstop because it doesn't have a Tegra under the hood - No.

Just visited TiPb the I phone site. (Wife & daughter are waiting for it). They are reporting that VZW has blocked vactaion from Mid January to Mid Feb. This probably means I phone launch, so I wouldn't expect anything to launch in January or for at least 30 days after which would get us to the Mid March date that was stated today during the show.

Wow finally Verizon has stepped the game up that **** looks hot a few feature of the evo (kickstand) are a copy cat but hey its a plus but I'm good with my evo would be a cool dev phone to play with it reminds me of my phone tiny bit of what the evo should have but verizon got the facsinate Sprint got evo then came sprint with there epic 4 and the Verizon was missing there evo so now they'll have this a slightly updated version of are old evo which I will say still is a beast but soon we will have the same software with hdmi and 4g and all this will have once the software comes I'm happy with my choice 2 weeks ago and I'm not looking back of course this is my opinion some will say different

if this doesnt release this with in the next week its gonna be a huge flop. i understand the dual core craze. but i cant wait for q2 an so on. an so far the best lookin dual core is the lg. those moto phones look ugly to me. if this phone was released last year it would have been a holiday hit. verizon def has lost the suprise value. but so far this will my phone. gotta ditch the iphone 3g.

Well looks like the TB is now coming out for a while. Fail. Im most likely gonna go get a droid x. The bionic is nice, but i would rather wait for a new phone that comes with an os that takes advantage of the dual core. And by the time that os is out, there will be a new phone with newer technology. So much for that.
