What app for texting?

Sorry if this has been posted before, I looked through the first good bit of threads and didn't see it.

I am not a big fan of the stock messages app. And hangouts isn't my favorite either. I've used Go SMS in the past, but it's been quite some time.

What are all of your preferences?

I can't stand the way the colors work.

Ditto I like Textra, and I have been using it for years. I also like Textr because of the dark black back ground as opposed to the stock white background. I like the fact that you can mod Textra'a sent and recieved teat colors as well.

Hangouts integrates better over time with google voice.
