What app is "Android Launcher"

It's an adware and I can't find where it's located based on the name "android launcher" it's a full screen ad that kicks me out of whatever application im in to load. So i am wondering what app it's from but no amount of searching tells me it. I also don't remember when it started happening, because it was a while back and thought nothing of it at the time. Is there a list of required apps that I can look at and disable everything that's not on the list? The phone I have is a Samsung s6. Any information would be appreciated.

Usually a launcher is the "app" that provides you the interface you interact with. It's entirely possible that some adware or malware is POSING AS "Android Launcher" to trick people into thinking it's important.

Does this still happen in safe mode?
