What are some of the features on the V20 that are better than you expected?

I'm really glad they have an IR blaster. I was pissed when I got my S7 Edge and found out they had taken it away. They will probably offer it again on the S8 and market it as a new feature. Lol. I was super impressed with how fast and accurate the fingerprint scanner is on this phone! The S6 and S7 Edge had great fingerprint scanners and I was shocked when I first used the V20. I also just love the fast, snappy overall feel of the phone. It's a far departure from Samsung's Touchwiz lagfest.

I knew I'd love the replaceable battery and ir blaster as I've enjoyed these features before, but performance is shockingly good on the v20. It really makes my s7 edge hard to use anymore. I can't fathom why Samsung, with all their resources, can't make a phone that is in the same league performance wise as the v20.

There is no reason why a phone with 4GB of RAM, quad and octacore CPU and a Snapdragon 820 should be so damn buggy and laggy.

I was surprised about its overall performance. I figured since it's an 820 it should run like my 2 Samsungs did this year, and well, it's an LG lol. Pleasantly surprised.

Same thing for me. I hardly touch the fingerprint scanner & the phone is unlocked.
Also photos taken at low iso (50 or 100) are very detailed & sharp. I read 2 reviews about the V20 low clarity photos. So I am pleasantly surprised it is not the case.

I think some of my favorite features are the smart setting that actually make sense. Example plus in a pair headphones launches my music app. Come home adjust the settings automatically knowing that i am home. The more i use the v20 the more i appreciate the small touches and settings they added that just make sense.

I came from a Note 5. I ordered a OnePlus 3t and bought a V20 since I was so impatient while waiting for the 3t.

The things I instantly fell in love with on the V20 were the fingerprint scanner and top screen. I absolutely love that top screen. The always on feature and notification panel is awesome. At night, it's nice to see the time and notifications.

Now that I have the 3t, it has some pretty big shoes to feel, but we'll see?

LTE reception is way better than I expected. Way better than Note 3 or Note 7 and without excessive heat.

For me the top feature of this phone that I wasn't expecting to be as great as it is would have to be the second screen.... I customized it to display my favorite apps: starbucks, tapatalk, evernote, nook and kindle. Then I switch to the settings quick toggle to turn Wi-Fi on when I need it and off when I don't. I also love how it displays the time and notifications even when phone is off! I had the Droid Turbo which would blink notifications and such, the S6 Edge+ which had the Edge panel but neither can mach the functionality of the second screen on the V20...

I also would like to add that battery life is phenomenal... Probably the best I've had on any phone including better than my iphone 6 plus which I never use anymore. I was not expecting that! And performance is superb!

Other than those features I guess just the size and Android Nougat come to mind. But overall, loving this phone far more than I expected!

Again, I prefer the second screen of the V20 over anything out there. The best feature by far. The quick apps and at night is pure awesomeness......

One thing I'd like to have on the V20 is just a red charging light while charging, then have it turn green when fully charged. I'm just being picky though lol.

My Note and 3t both have notification lights for everything.

The big one for me is the auto screen brightness. I've never had a phone that controlled it all that well, but gave it a try on the V20 after reading others comment on it. I now rarely use manual brightness control (there's still some tricky situations where it's too dark).

I was also surprised at the strength of the IR blaster. I've had it on prior phones, but none were as strong as the V20. Even on my G4, I had to have a nearly dead on aim to use it. The V20 is almost as good as a regular t.v. remote.

I came from a Samsung 6edge plus. the V20 is much faster and smoother. but I love this second screen even though I didn't think that I would I find it's one of my favorite things about this device.

I was thinking about getting a v20. I am used to Samsung phones and their amoled displays.
Looking at the v20 just looks very washed out and cooler tones.
Is this something anyone else had to get used to ???
