What are some of the features on the V20 that are better than you expected?

I was thinking about getting a v20. I am used to Samsung phones and their amoled displays.
Looking at the v20 just looks very washed out and cooler tones.
Is this something anyone else had to get used to ???

I own both (s7 edge and v20)yes there are differences but the v20 is still a gorgeous screen once you get use to it for a while you stop noticing the differences as much. Personally i love the screen on ths v20. I think combined with all the other perks it is well worth the money

I'm the exact opposite. I never could stand the over oversaturated colors of Samsung phones, so the V20 screen seems more natural to me. Though "washed out" is a more objective term, and the V20 is not washed out in the least. Unless you were looking at a defective unit.

The Samsung screen are attractive and certainly draw people in at the point of sale, but they are not something I prefer as everything seems exaggerated.

Well i ordered a V20. Ill have it Wednesday. I played with it for almost 40 min in the store on Saturday and i liked it. Its different from what im used to having which is samsung. So ill give it a shot! The 2nd screen seems cool. I just have to get used to not having a notification light.

I also had to get used to a no notification light coming from a Note 4. I have my V20 setup so it will play a notification sound every 5 minutes when I receive either an email or text message 😁 You were smart to play with it for awhile in the store so you at least get a clue of how this great phone operates. I absolutely love my V20. Congratulations on your phone choice.

It's hard to say what real world results are but based on forum posts in various threads throughout the AC community that I have observed, most V20 owners seem to love this phone.

Congrats its a great choice the more i have used the v20 and all it features the less i use my s7 edge. I am going to sell my s7 edge because of my everyday experience is so much better on the v20. I hope you love it

I'm a former Samsung user myself. I honestly did not expect to even like this phone. Plan was to replace with the next Note available. I doubt I will do that now. Phone is so much faster. I don't need a launcher. I love the LG features like removable battery, ir blaster and hdmi capabilities.

I love the removable battery, second display, quad DAC, fingerprint sensor and vibrant display. So money.

I love my V20 but like my S7 edge still and MISS my Note 7 even with the bit of lag Samsung phones have. I will probably get the Note 8. I might get the S8 Edge or whatever they call the larger version of the S8. I hope rumors are true and Samsung is ditching the Edge and just having a Plus size flat screen model. I might buy it after a month to make sure it's not a flop this time around though. No more pre order BS for me after this fiasco and fighting Tmobile for a refund. If I'm not impressed with S8 will keep rocking the V20 until Note 8 is out.

So i got my V20 yesterday! I must say i am used to the screen already... Only thing is i do not have the latest emojis (middle finger ect... ) LOL. I am using the stock texting app and i have the latest software update. I am on verizon so i dont know if that has something to do with it. Other then getting used to no notification light i am liking the phone so far.

I spent nearly half a year looking for a phone to replace My Droid Turbo 2, and when this came along at Verizon for $672 with a free pair of $150 B&O headphones, I decided this was the phone I wanted, and it was a good choice.

The HD audio taping capabilities. I see a lot of concerts and bands that play in my area. I tape (large rig and stealth rig) live music as a hobby. Although the mics on this phone are omni (not uni-directional), they didn't pick up much crowd noise near me. I love the ability to change the settings in that app for FLAC, WAV and 3GP (which I assume is MP3), the Bit depth (16 bit ot 24 bit) and the Sampling rate (44.1 to 192 kHz). I also love its LMT, LCF and Gain controls. Basically, I can walk into a concert where taping is not allowed and walk out with a decent (not great) copy without being caught or worrying about cables, mics, pre-amp, etc. I've been looking at the phone for months and pulled the trigger after XMAS. So far, so good.

Nice feature for manual focusing. However I would prefer selective focusing by touching the screen at the place which needs to be in focus instead of the slider. I think it will be faster and easier if the scene is dominantly green.
Of course I want to keep the focus peaking feature for visualization of focused areas.

I don't find the phone particularly speedy relative to the Note 7 I was forced off of. In fact, that Note is still my favorite Android phone to date, even without the removable battery.

I found the second screen a lot more useful than I thought I would. What I initially thought was a bit gimmicky, turned into a very functional feature for me...

I'm really happy with the device overall.
