What are the three pins for anyways???

I mean, none of the accessories seem to use them, what is the point? Why even bother? One thing I am going to miss about motorola is the great accessories they have like the lapdesk and the docks. They all have special screens to go with them. I am not going to get another Motorola for them, but still, it is stupid to even have pins if they wont be used on our version.
