What are you upgrading from and why?

For me it's the Nexus 4. The immediate reason I'm upgrading is that Google is dropping official support, but I'm also just looking forward to the perks of moving from a three year old phone. Better battery life, better camera, better screen, LTE, fingerprint reader, better sensors, better speakers... better everything, really. Should be a treat.

LG G3, horrible battery life since LP update. Struggle to get 2 hours screen on time. SMS/MMS sending and receiving issues.

Plus, time for my first stock Android experience and with 128GB, its time to pull the trigger on one.

From a Nexus 6. Upgrading because I am a gadget geek and got to have the latest Nexus phone. Will be getting the Pixel C too, looks promising.

LG g4. This phone is the biggest turd I have ever used. And I've had quite a few phones

Droid maxx... The lack of updates(still on kit kat) , better hardware (looking forward to dinner print scanner especially), wanted a bigger phone.

Samsung Galaxy S5.
  • I'm a sucker for new gadgets
  • Never had a Nexus device before or a stock Android device
  • I want a bigger screen just to see if it will fit in my life
  • I almost settled for the Note 5
  • I want updates faster
  • Sick of my S5 resetting my wallpaper randomly
  • Sick of my S5 constantly **** dialing after i put my phone in my pocket. (my S4 never did that)
  • Sick of my S5 randomly hanging or freezing and requiring a restart

Droid Maxx. Why? Still on 4.4.4! Phone was great. Verizon not so much.

My recent phone is Moto X pure, buying both Nexus 6p and 5x. Will decide by end of year which to keep longer and sell the remaining.

OnePlus One. Both my wife and I have one and are upgrading to a 6P. Both 1+1s have been a bit finicky with wifi and cell connectivity and occasional random restarts - one device more than the other. They were really meant to be a stopgap, as I wasn't impressed with the Nexus 6 for the price. The 6P looks better and is cheaper. I am desperately hoping the camera is good (we have kids), but I'm also prepared for it to be mediocre.

Going from Verizon note 4 to 64gb graphite 6p on project fi. Tired of not having service where I work and having a phone that continues to disconnect from service.

Oneplus one was great last year for the price... Now others bringing it with their mid range pricing for high end device, why bother jumping through hoops for oneplus right? Plus have you ever tried getting any support from them? It's terrible and help desk only accessible via email
