What are you upgrading from and why?

Coming from a moto xplay.

- phone is laggy, even for a near stock android device.
- want a bigger screen.
- nothing is better than a stock android experience.
- SUPER EXCITED for this camera! Can't wait to see how it performs!
Long live the nexus 6p!

Can you please input some more data?
I never had a nexus phone before. Had been using samsung phones for years.

Thinking of switching to this 6P from the S6 for bigger screen and battery and price. Will I miss the speed and camera quality on the S6?

Jury is still out on the camera, but from what we've seen it won't be much of a downgrade, besides a bit of resolution. i have high hopes for the nexus 6p camera!

As for speed, well, you haven't seen speed until you've had a flagship nexus device :) nothing is as blazing fast as a stock android nexus with a recent processor. not to mention the ram issues on the s6, which causes it to slow down after a while. i got fed up of my s6 and went to a moto x play just because i couldn't deal with touchwiz anymore, although i miss the camera. now just waiting for my 6p!

and you'll praise the battery life, since everything has better battery life than an s6 :D

i'd definitely recommend the switch!

Upgrading from an iPhone 6 and (briefly) a OnePlus 2. I wanted to like the OnePlus 2, but the software bugs eventually got to me. The lack of NFC didn't bother me, but I would like to use Android Pay if it's available. So between returning that and getting my 6P, I'll be back on my iPhone 6 which I am starting to despise. The display resolution is nowhere near where a modern phone should be, and the battery life sucks. One thing I will say about the OP2 is that it got me ready to make the jump to a phablet. Come on October 30!

Ordered to replace a G4 H815. I do miss having a stock android build and while the G4 has been a great phone overall, I've been waiting for a Nexus that may suit my needs.

Coming from the Nexus 6.
Why: I want something slightly smaller, ideally the 5X size, but the specs and premium-ness of the 6P are too good to pass up. The 6P is narrower, thinner, and lighter than the Nexus 6 and initial reports are that it's more comfortable in hand.

Also, the performance on the Nexus 6 is merely okay, a bit sluggish at times when loading or swapping apps, and I believe it's related to the whole encryption thing that everyone was talking about earlier this year.

nexus 6. don't like the downgrade in screen size but the N6's screen is majorly unresponsive and a bit sucky outdoors. and the camera's low light absolutely sucks. if the P's camera doesn't live up to the hype, it's going back and i'm going over to IOS.
well, maybe windows, i don't know. i'm going somewhere.

Droid Turbo. (Not sure I've seen any others around.) Phone was a beast before Lollipop upgrade killed the battery life. Used to get a day and a half. Now it's 12-14 hours max. Don't like the static navigation keys. More importantly, I get to sidestep VZW's notoriously slow upgrade process. Can't wait to get my hands on the 6p.

Ditching the Edge 6 +. So many problems. And just really dislike the Verizon branding and slow updates. Need a pure experience.

That's quite a change in size...not a problem for you?
Not gonna lie.... I'm a little worried.

I've had large phones in the past (note 2, oneplus one, iPhone 6+) and the size has always been tough for me but ultimately it wasn't the reason I left them. I really, really miss the nexus experience and figured I'd go all in!

I just got the Note 5, with I had waited. Gotta figure a way to get myself out of device payment somehow and flget into the Nexus...

Ordered the Nexus 6P, upgrading from a Note 4. Although the hardware on the Note 4 is still incredible, I hate Samsung, touchwiz and all related to the brand. Worst, laggiest, slowest experience I've ever had with a phone. If I could root and ROM my ATT Note 4 version and change the kernel to make things faster, I'd probably keep it. But so far, not possible.

Nexus 5, was due an upgrade last year but the 6 just didn't feel right. Love the pure android. Couldn't cope with the bloat of the Samsungs and almost went to the iPhone s plus. Was very happy when this phone was unveiled, not to mention £200 better off.

To clarify, had an S3, hated it and bought the 5. Been sim free for a year now.

My Verizon Note 4 is slow as hell, my friends would complain about Samsung TouchWiz lag and I would always say it's not that bad, now it's that bad and the phone is barely a year old. With Verizon the OS updates are slow I'm still waiting for 5.1.1 and Google has just introduced 6.0. I want pure Android experience like I have on my Nexus 9 and not have to wait 6 months to a year for a software update that other carriers seem to put out earlier. That's the 1 thing that Apple has over Android, you never hear a person say I upgraded my IPhone 6 to ios9 and I'm AT&T and have another person say damn I have the same iPhone 6 and I'm still waiting for Verizon to update it.

I have a Note 5 and an OP2. I'm selling the OnePlus 2 right now trying to make room for the 6P! Have a 64GB aluminum model on order.
