Been using Textra (full paid version) for a few years now and have no complaints. I think it was only like $5 for the full version of it. Not really sure if/how it's any kind of real upgrade over the stock messaging app on the Note 20 though. Haven't really spent any time messing with the stock app to see what kind of improvements and new features it has.
Stock has more customization, but also have Google for RCS
Those are my go-to now, as well. I used to be a huge fan of Textra but now I like Samsung's and Google's versions of SMS.
My thoughts exactly. Att advanced messaging sucks....no idea why they needed to mess with it.Google message. If RCS ever comes to at&t Samsung messages I'll switch.
So I prefer the Samsung messages app for the s pen integration, it also have the gifs and all the other stuff some of you mentioned. If you haven't used it for a while I'd check it out.
Now I just found out Samsung messages does have RCS. It was not available until I downloaded google messages, enabled it, switched back to samsung and it asked me immediately if I wanted to enable it. View attachment 324992
And Aodnotify app is what you need..it works with Google messagesI liked Google Messages but edge lighting doesn't work with it so I stick with the stock Samsung messaging app.
