What are your current gripes with the Pixel / XL?

I can confirm that two phone-talking bluetooth devices cannot connect simultaneously, meaning a bluetooth headset and car bluetooth system. You have to turn off the headset prior to connecting to the car or it will not connect. This is something Android can do, because LG & Samsung phones do allow this. Of course the iphone also allows this. The Pixel is a fast fluid device, that runs Google services flawlessly, but I feel like if they want to step up to the level of flagship-phone status, they must play attention to these small convenient details users may like.

So are you saying if you have a bluetooth headset connected to your Pixel, then connect your Pixel to your car, that it won't connect to your car?

I really like the device and I'm keeping it until the next Note comes out, but so far here are the things I either don't like.. or need to get used to....

1. Fingerprint sensor on the back is taking some time to get used to. I hate having to lift up the phone from my desk to unlock it. It's now an ordeal to unlock it. #firstworldproblems

2. By itself it is a nice enough looking device, sitting next to my Note 7, it is extremely unattractive... so is the iPhone.. so is every other device ever created. :)

3. So far Bluetooth does not seem to want to be a phone when paired to my 2016 Honda Pilot. It will stream music, but will not acknowledge text or phone calls.

4. No stylus
can you not push the side power button and use your swipe password to unlock?

Yes, that's it. It was the same for previous Nexus devices and devices running close to stock Android like the Oneplus 3. I was just hoping it would work this time, since they appear to want to appeal to the masses.

Ahh God they did not fix this yet. I have so many problems with the 6p and my 2016 Accord

No battery percentage in the notification bar without swiping down into quick toggles. Every other phone pretty much has this in 2016. Agree with others that getting used to the fingerprint sensor on the back is going to take some time. It's super snappy though. Overall very impressed.

I agree and if I am unable to get my 128GB phone for another month, guess what I will have to try the 7+ myself. I did not think I would ever say that but you can not deny it might be a pretty good phone.

Still I will have to wait a few weeks to get a 7+ as well. I am living on a refuge phone after two Note 7 failures.

Call your local best buy every few mornings. Took two tries to get mine.

Theres nothing denying the iP7 is a good phone, the question is more about iOS and whether or not you can pull yourself out of the android ecosystem and plant into iOS's If you use a lot of Google's services now you should prepare for a rude awakening when many of them arent available to you (at least not as easily) on the iPhone.

As far as Price, it is a Gen 1 phone by name only. Plenty of Nexus phones came before it and Google has had plenty of time to work out its mobile offerings. I guess they got complete build control this time around too, but they are certainly not new to cell phones.

All of the Google services actually are available on iOS. Many apps are even better. The handy keyboard app GBoard isn't available on Android all.

You have to set it in system tuner. Option there to always shoe battery percentage.

Sure I can, though that involves actually grabbing the phone, swiping up and tapping out a PIN or password or whatever. With an iPhone or a Galaxy, I just press my thumb and that's it.

Now, that's just one scenario. It could turn out having it on the back is better overall. Time will tell, but after one day, that's my initial grip. :)

I'll start a new thread about Bluetooth issues. I don't want to hijack this thread.... Stay on target! :)
