What Are Your Data Speeds?

I returned my GSII, but before I did, I ran a bunch of speed tests. The maximum speeds I got (on data, not Wifi) at work - which is where I use the phone the most - was 0.6 Down and 0.2 Up on 3G *could almost never pick up 4G).

In the same location, on my older BBerry (that I switched back to until I upgrade again), my data speeds are: 1.15 Mbps Down/1.13 Mbps Up on 1XEV.

I noticed the same change in speeds immediately after switching phones (from GSII to BBerry).

How to explain these differences, except for antenna issues?

Would be interested to hear others comparison speeds.

I just got 1.2mbps down and 0.4mbps up over 3G. I'd say the two answers to your question Holly are the same as before ...

1) The E4GT's combination of radio and firmware doesn't play nice with the Sprint cellular configuration in your area

OR

2) You had a defective phone but never exchanged it to find out

First one was the other day. This is just now

I'm TMack, and I approve this message.

Agree on the defective phone.....also you should try the little hack posted for getting better speeds.. can't hurt.

With 3G, it varies from 100kbps to 1400kbps. With 4G, it varies from 1,000kbps to 12,000kbps. The higher your phone signal, the higher your data speeds. 2-3 bars get me 100-300 kbps while 4-5 bars get me 500-1400 kbps. For 4G, 2-3 bars get me 1000, 2000 kbps while 4-5 bars get me 3000-12,000 kbps.

Yeah, I agree. Ur signal is the prob, had to be... That and as posted before u coulda gotta lemon. At my home I barely get 4g, but I do get it upstairs... And it blows my ole Evo4g away! It's likea Ford Pinto vs a Vette. ;;-P
