What are your favorite cases for the LG G4?

Yeah, I have the Caseology in black leather. It is a very nice case. It does add some bulk which I don't like. I haven't noticed the IR Blaster issue. I suppose it would be easy to drill out the hole to make it a bit larger if it doesn't line up for you.

Humm. $34 (Bought at Verizon) vs $550? I think $34 up front sounds better. You could be right though. Maybe pay the $10 charge for insurance each month? Somehow you need to protect it so it doesn't get broken. At least, that's how I see it. The $5 TPU case you find on Amazon isn't gong to protect anything, but to each his own. The person asked for my favorite case for the LG G4. The Tech21 I feel isn't too bulky and does a great job of protecting the device from damage and the IR blaster works with the Tech21 Case. Maybe on the expensive side, but I'm telling you it's worth it if you drop your phone a lot. I had a Tech21 case on my LG G3, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and now the LG G4. All of my phones look exceptional and yes, I do drop them from time to time.

I guess my point is that there are a lot of good cases out there for $15.

Just got the black diztronic case today. I really like it. Much better then the Caseology Envoy I have been using. It is thiner, easier to put on and take off, and fits the phone like a glove. Makes the phone look really stealth too. I think it was $9 on amazon.

Remember when I said I'd rather have a bumper?

Unfortunately, that no longer holds true.

My G4 has become more and more slippery as of late due to my sweaty palms. The leather back did nothing to help and there were so many near-drops.

I had to get a full-on case to protect the phone and the leather from drops.

The Spigen Slim Armor is what I'm using now and I really like it.

That's the exact case I'm sporting too. Adds a bit of weight - which I'm good with, but it adds a lot of width which is especially evident when you look at the back. I have a brown leather Pierre Cardin case on its way as well. I'm hoping it will be a good fit.

I've been using the bumper style case since I got my phone, and I'm not completely thrilled with it, so I ordered up the Spigen Slim Armor. I had this on my G3, and I really liked it. Well, it's a different story with the G4. The hard shell is just that, and I felt like it was too slippery. My old one had a much better feel. So, I sent the SA back, and I'm back to the bumper for now. The bumper seems to be two different materials, a matte grippier surface on the front, with a shiny smooth tpu type surface on the back. I wish the entire thing was the same as the front, as I think it would make it better. Also, a little more of a lip over the screen would be nice, I think it barely keeps my tempered glass off the desk.

Will an 'unofficial' circle case work with my G4 and the circle case features/apps? Ive been wanting to buy the circle case but its too expensive, so i though of buying an imitation but im not sure if the circle case features will work with it. From what ive seen in some pics here it does but can anyone assure me it does???

I just got an Urban Armor Gear "Ash" case for my new LGG4...I have had UAG on all my other phones...love the style and design. My next favorite is Ballistic but it tends to be too bulky for pocket carry...

Currently using a see through plastic case....

Have a red leather back cover on order from lg. Which i want to show off.

I have this case on now eight eh orange leather it works very well. You can see the leather without harming it.

Orzly Fusion Bumper Case in black colour

Pros
-fairly grippy side material
-the curve profile of the phone is mostly lost given it's not a slim profile case. However, it is easier to type on the desk because makes the phone flatter (not as curvy and wobbly)
-the cutouts are large enough to fit most 3.5mm jacks
-the lip of the case is raised sufficiently in my opinion (tried to show it in the last picture but its difficult to see due to the bad lighting) and also extends towards the inside of the phone a little (horizontal direction), not just in an upwards direction

Cons
-the clear back stratches really easily (and I baby my phone..gentle handling)..so it's be full of stratches in a short period of time and too much of an eye sore to continue using
-a bit heavy overall for my liking since the G4 isn't light to begin with
-the cutout on the back (camera) could be better looking/designed
-it technically does fit the black leather back but you have to be careful when you take off the case because it's tight, so its likely to peel off the back at the same time. It's best to stretch/pull out the top corners a bit before pulling the case off

My rating: 2.5-3 out of 5, would not recommend

Nillikin Nature Soft TPU Case - in clear (also available in grey and gold)

Pros
-slim profile so the curvature of the phone remains intact/can be seen clearly
-feel of the case is nice soft tpu (personally not a fan of hard clear case because feels too rigid in hands)
-design of case well thought out such as the grippy strips on the side (shown in photos), and also the covers for the charger port and the speakerphone port. I'm guess the purpose is to keep dirt and dust out. Nice cutouts overall and the brand name logo isn't too too intrusive in my opinion (matches the case actually). The cutout protector parts are nice quality and foresee them not falling apart in a short time. Should last a long time in my opinion, and fits the holes perfectly snug. The grippy strips make a big difference in my opinion.
-light and barely adds any weight to the phone which I love

Cons
-the raised degree of the lip of the case is too little (barely raised in other words). Having a tempered glass screen protector is a must in my opinion for insurance purpose
-I would not use it with the leather back even though the black leather back does fit. Why? The leather back is thicker and the little raised lip we have is no longer existent when I use the leather back. There would simply be no protection to the front of the phone if I were to drop my phone by accident.

My Rating
4 out of 5 stars (but use tempered screen protector)

Cruzerlite Bugdroid case - clear

Pros
-a decent amount of lip to the edge which should help protect the front of the phone during any drops
-for tpu case it's fairly thick (can see the thickness in the picture of the back camera cutout area)
-the engraved/enbossed pattern of the case gives it a fairly grippy texture
-holes of cutouts are sufficiently large

Cons
-some people might find the "C" cruzerlite logo in the middle of the android icon distasteful. Personally over a week's time I think it's acceptable and don't mind it much
-given the fairly opaque nature of the case you won't be able to see the leather or plastic back beneath (no showing off)

Overall a pretty good case, not too thick and not too thin so it does look like it'll provide a decent-good amount of protection for drops.

My Rating
4 out of 5 stars
