What case for your Nexus S 4G?

I took that case off after about a day. Power button was too much of a pia press.

Yeah I'm already counting on it being junky but i figure once i decide what case i want, i can give this to a friend who may not already have a case plus it comes with 6 screen protectors so thats 1 for me and 5 for friends.

I'm picky with my cases so im holding off on my major purchase. I know otterbox is making a case for the NS which will be released soon which is probably what I'll end up with.

Thanks for the heads up though cause Im gonna be fighting with the power button soon it sounds like

I got this bundle, which seems like a good deal. I also will get a Phantom Skinz skin (used it well for my Palm Pre, very little orange peeling)

Amazon.com: Gizmo Dorks Silicone Case Cover (Black) and Charging Bundle with Carabiner Key Chain for the Samsung Nexus S 4G from Sprint: Cell Phones & Accessories

I put a Phantom Skinz on my NS4G a few days ago and it's awesome. One of the best skin brands out there. Very happy with the purchase.

I had phantom skinz no my pre as well.

EDIT - Also picked up the seidio 1750 battery. That will give me an extra 17% battery life so thats a nice little boost but it costs $50 for that battery.

Don't put too much trust into seidio batteries. Back when I had my palm pre there was batterygate on precentral forums. Basically they were selling batteries where were a lot lower in mah rating then what they were suppose to be. 1400mah battery was actually measured to have 1150 rating

Received the incipio feather case and the phantom skinz screen protector and put them both on.
Had a phantom skinz cover on my older palm pre and loved it so I knew I had to get the same for my Nexus S 4g. Wanted to protect my new phone but still keep the sleek look without adding a lot of bulk.

Incipio feather case plus phantom skinz protector is a great combination to achieve that.

Got a platinum also. I am not the type of guy that uses a holster so I clipped that to the pocket of my car door to hang my phone while I drive. The case itself is nice and tight with a nice feel.

It's a bit bulkier than I wanted (I was looking seriously at the Incipio Feather), but it's no bulkier than most of the others out there.
I noticed a lot of complaints about how it popped open if dropped, but that only happens without the phone in the case. Adding the phone makes the attachment points much sturdier, so I'm not concerned about it coming open. I may revise that after the first time it falls....

Phantom Skinz Coupon Code

...... I also will get a Phantom Skinz skin (used it well for my Palm Pre, very little orange peeling)....

...

Phantom Skins has a two for one special going on, for example order one clear screen protector and it comes with 2 screen protectors in the kit >> Phantom Skins Nexus S

Also add coupon "summersale25" and you get an additional 25% OFF.

This gets you two Phantom Skin Screen protectors for $7.46 shipped (free shipping.)

My Incipio Feather came today from Cell Power. Fits great except the cutout for the power button is off center, does not affect anything at all.

Its basically the same quality, material and thickness as my cheap $3.98 2 piece one from eBay, but has some fancy packaging instead of cheap cellophane bag packaging from China lol. Same exact rubber feel coating.Here. They are both made in China, chances are the factories are next to each other, lol.

At Incipios $25 price, they are raking it in, considering the cheap one is two pieces and its only $4, shipped. And the guy i bought it from had to make some profit and pay shipping.

The only difference is that the Feather is one piece, bottom only, so you don't have the thickness on the sides and face from a top piece (which is quite nice, compared). But then the negative is that the ends of the phone are exposed for scratches and drops.

It is what it is and does what its supposed to do, so if you want it go get it. My only negative criticism is value, and I got it for the $16 before it went up.

Gonna roll with it for a while and see how long before an end gets scratched.

I was actually going to buy the Incipio case this week until I saw this post and decided to try the sub-$4 case for myself (thanks for the info, jimmycinla!). For that price, it was worth the experiment. Anyway, bought the case on Sunday and it arrived today already here on the East Coast! I've gotta say, it's actually a pretty nice hard case! Unless I see something really mind-blowing at a store somewhere, I think I'll stick with this case for now. If it falls apart in 6 months...I'll probably just buy another one. :p

All of the cutouts for buttons, etc. are pretty spot on. The cut-out for the power button is the only one that looks off-center, but I think it was done on purpose as it gives my thumb some room when pressing the button. I do like the extra protection around the edges, even though I know it's a hard case, I'm sure it'll help at least a little bit if it ever falls out of my hands. Anyway, if you're looking for a cheap and good hard case, definitely try that cheapy one off of eBay.

Now I'm hoping my Steinheil Ultra-Optics screen protector shows up soon. :)

Oh man, the aqua black was the one that I wanted but it's out of stock, along with black. So, I went to the extreme opposite spectrum and went with the bright lime one.

Did you specifically order the NS4G version? I know the regular NS has a slightly higher power button, so maybe they're listing them separately but using the exact same case.

I think a lot of these companies are listing them separately and using the exact same case. Most of the time it doesn't affect fit, form or function. They probably list them separately just to put people at ease.

I couldn't help order the feather case and the Spring case and holster. Problem is I like both. I am not a big holster guy but the case itself is pretty sold. Not too big either. The feather case though is sooooo thin and feels great in the hand. I think I am just going to keep them both.

Just got my lime Rearth Ringke in the mail. The color is definitely not for everyone but I'm liking it.
Fits great, thin, VERY lightweight. Definitely not sticky rubber where it would collect dust and make it difficult to put in and out of pocket.

Blurry, but you can see how my matte screen protector looks. The screen protector was bought separately (not same brand as case) so it doesn't line up perfectly with the case, but works.

Got my Incipio Feather. $20 shipped from ebay.

I really like it. It's really minimal. I've also got a Zagg dry screen protector.

The feather case is perfect. After a few days its minimalist stylings are wonderful.

+1. I just got mine in the mail today via ebay ($19.95 w/ free shipping).

I had been sporting one of those $2 rubber cases which did it's job for 2 weeks until I could figure out which one was best for me...
