I picked up the UAG Civilian in olive, description says it is ultra thin. The front half of the case sticks out above the phone maybe 3mm. This has not impeded me using the screen in anyway. I like the design of the case and it was one of the only ones that came in colours not just black. It looks like the front part of the case does not fully cover to the edge of the phone towards the hinge. There is a mm or two difference, even after I try to reposition it. So I am not sure if it is the case or I keep installing it wrong. The other issue is the case does not have a cutout on the front half of the case for the ear piece speaker so phone calls are muffled on my end. It appears the engineers put it on the inside of the case by the big screen. The phone does not feel bulky to me with the case on it but I also do not find the phone bulky even when folded. When designers started making phones thinner and thinner I hated it. I have sausages for fingers so having the weight and size of the the Fold3 just feels right in my hands.
Yesterday my F3 took a tumble on concrete, thanks to me being an ***, it dropped about 4' and rolled on it's edges about 10'. Picked up the phone and luckily no damage to the hinge, I did get a tiny nick on the front cover next to the hinge. The case shows no damage and neither screen cracked which is the most important thing. A little disappointed there is now nick on the phone.
I have used Spigen and UAG cases on my phones for awhile now. Only ever had one phone get a crack or nick on it but the screen hit the corner of an object directly so not the fault of the cases. I also need to find a case with hinge protection, it was scary watching my phone tumble away from me with no hinge protection. Overall I like the case just has a slight design problem.
