What data speeds are you getting?

How are you guys getting these high speeds? I'm on Tmobile in NYC. My speeds within my apartment.
Download 1.80mbps
Upload 1.27.

I'm on the outskirts of Clearwater, FL...so it's not that bad for the area.

In South Holland, IL I got 8.49MB down and 3.16Mb up. This has been the highest I have seen on the MyTouch 4G since I've owned it. I took about 30 speedtests and was averaging around 6-8MB download. Now if only they'd expand 4G... no wait 3G!!!! :D

This is sort of a post-mortem, I just jumped ship from t-mobile (with a G2, Vibrant and myTouch 4G) to a HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon. Living in Portland I'm not in a Verizon LTE area (yet) but have to go to Las Vegas area for work in a day or so and can try out LTE there. So right now I'm on Verizon 3G.

After using the thunderbolt on Verizon's 3G for a few hours I'd say that I clearly notice that it is slower than T-Mobile's HSPA+ and it does feel like it's almost a different level of user experience. Not EDGE->UMTS level but enough so that I think that it's reasonable to want to market HSPA+ as a significant step up from EVDO-A.

I'm also a little concerned because though I've seen a few LTE results in the 14 mbps (down) range there are quite a few in the 3-6 mbps range, which is right around what I've gotten used to from the G2 or MT4G.

In short, I think HSPA+ is going to hold up fairly well against LTE at about the level I expected (80% or so peak forward link speed in real observed performance once the HSPA+ network is dual carrier+MIMO).
