What devices from MWC will be on Verizon?

I was wondering about your thoughts on what devices that were introduced at MWC so far will end up on Verizon. As I see it not one of the quad-core or 4.7 screen phones will be on VZW. Too bad AT&T has such bad customer service and not so reliable network cause it looks like they are getting the cream of the crop of new devices.

Your thoughts?

OK. I am going to be a negative Nancy. I predict none of the phones announced at MWC will come to Verizon. Well, at least not until they are 6 months old on a competing carrier like AT&T. Verizon's current selection sucks if you are looking for a phone that you want to be more than a phone... know what I mean? I want something unique like the Note.

I have to agree. It looks like everything is going to AT&T. I'm not going to hold my breath on Verizon giving the new Panasonic phones a look either. I really want them too, though.

I was sorta looking forward to the possiblity of them getting a One X. I'm in the minority that prefers Sense over stock. Now that I've seen it doesn't have a removable battery nor did they really up the specs in that department, I'm glad they aren't. AT&T can have it.

I'm just not that interested in qHD at all, so it looks like even the leaked fireball/incredible3/fighter or whatever it is won't cut it either. I'm willing to bet it won't even have an S4 chip either. I was close to hopping on the Razr Maxx train (only because of the battery).... but I know I'd miss Sense and the brick known as the Rezound is just awful looking.

Yeah, I was liking the oneX. The think I love about my Dinc is the camera, and the oneX appears to excel on that. As far as the other specs, my Dinc still is as fast as I need it to be, and it's just a single core 1ghz. I just hope HTC has upped the ante on their friggin battery life. If HTC ever goes with a non removable battery, they are in trouble. Almost jumped on the Razr MAXX last weekend with the BOGO offer, but I decided I still wasn't ready to spend $300 when my Dinc works just fine right now.

I thought VZW was getting the Journal, which is the Note + ICS.

The Journal is going to Sprint. Verizon may get a variant of the Note, but it will be far too late for anyone to care.

Exactly! My God... We live in a world where AT&T's lineup actually looks more appealing than Verizon's!
Where I live, both networks are almost clones of each other.
Guess my only choice is whether or not to go ahead and switch to the "dark" side (just all in fun AT&T users ;) )

LOL seriously??? They just got the HTC Rezound, Droid Razer, Galaxy Nexus, and Droid 4 in the last few months. Dont look at Sprint's selection then. :-\

The Rezound is going on 4 months old. I hate the glossy screen... it is just as bad as my DX. I want something with a larger screen and more unique than 4.3 inches.

The Razr is a joke. It is comical at best. I held it and was immediatley repulsed by how it felt in the hand. The Maxx is much better IMO. However it is just not for me. I use my phone as a "phone" only about 10% of the time. I have actually considered getting a 4G tablet and a dumb-phone.

Had the Nexus and Spectrum. Sent both packing. Nexus was buggy (also going on 5 months old now), Spectrum was... well... LG.

Have 0 interest in the D4 slider. The screen and camera are worse than my DX.

Take away the Rezound, Maxx, D4, Nexus, Nitro (oops, meant Spectrum), and other comical Razri and honestly what is left WORTH using a valuable upgrade on?

If I was going to "settle" on a phone, who wouldn't rather have the SII or the Skyrocket?
On AT&T the Note would work well for me.

But we are all different. Am I too picky? Damn straight! These f%@#e@s are expensive and I will not settle for something that will just set around on my table and not be used because its best feature is that it is really just a phone. I want more than a phone.

I am totally with you on this. I have had my DInc since it was introduced and tried the Spectrum but sent it back due to speaker and HDMI issues. Still looking for that next great phone on Verizon....Sorry they have none.

Actually, I don't think that's true (that you're in the minority that likes Sense). The recent poll on here showed over 60 percent of the people on AC root their phone (versus probably less than 1 percent of the general population). I'm very tech savvy and just picked up my first Android phone (last Thanksgiving - Red Dinc 2 for free on contract) and don't really know (other than the widgets) exactly what is Sense and what isn't and don't really care. The phone looks great, has great feel in the hand and pocket (not too big), and runs fairly well stock. Don't really want to mess with root (and may not have to if HTC keeps their word on ICS). The only thing I'd really like to get rid of is the bloatware (mostly because I hate scrolling through it when I'm doing something with the apps). My ideal phone would be the same form factor as the Inc 2 with updated specs - say 1.2 GHz dual core, 1 GB RAM, 8-16 GB onboard with micro SD expansion, higher res screen (say qHD or retina), 2nd Gen LTE (for better battery life) and hopefully by the end of this year VoLTE (Voice over LTE). I think those specs will be a mid range device (with all the quad core phones coming out).

The LTE GNex has only been available since mid-December. It was only approved by the FCC in mid-November.

LOL. OK you win. You know what you know and I know what I know. I watched and waited on this pathetic device since August. Samsung announced it in October. To me, it is going on 5 months old and is too outdated to reconsider as a worthy device for one of my upgrades. This was my point about Verizon. By the time they make something available, it is already becomming old tech. Even though Verizon got it mid-December, the phone has almost 42% of its life cycle over assuming Google releases a new Nexus this year as well.

But you win. Congrats. Its all about how you see things I guess.

well NVIDIA says they are adding LTE, but that could take months and by then, we will already have other processors from TI and Samsung and we already have the Qualcomm one.
