What did you pre-pre-order?

Just got off the phone with Verizon, I couldn't pre-order online, they made me call and I had to talk to someone from the fraud department to approve the order. He asked me the same "security" questions the first girl I talked to asked me. Anyway, 256, Aura Glow. The rep did say multiple times that the phone "will ship" on the 23rd. My last pre-order was the note 8, also through Verizon, and it arrived several days before launch.

Does anyone have more experience with Verizon preorders than I do? Do they typically ship on the launch date? Seemed strange to me....

I was really mad with the Samsung Bait & Switch after registering July 26th. Got the pre-order email around 2 hours after the Samsung Unpacked Event was over. I jumped on the link and started making my selections & come to find out they are only offering $300.00 trade-in value for my Note 9! WTH! When Registering, Samsung wasn't just implying I'd get up to $600.00 trade-in value for my Note 9, they actually displayed it that way (even after I selected AT&T!). I was convinced of this (as so, so many others were too).
So, I did end up ordering a Note 10+/256GB, Aura Glow & selected to trade in my Note 9 for $300.00. I got a $200.00 Samsung merchandise credit ($50.00 for early reserving & $150.00 bonus). I might sell my N9 and just have Samsung charge me the $300.00.
Before I submitted my order online from my computer, I decided to click on the pre-order email link using my phone and thought maybe using the Shop Samsung app would get me a better deal. The N9 trade-in value was the same and all of the "packages" that were offered via my computer weren't displayed but it did display that I had a $200.00 credit and could click through different tabs/sections (wearables, tablets, cases, accessories). Only when I first accessed the cases section, there were several deals on new cases. If I selected a color other than black, the deal was gone. I had to use the back arror and go to the previous section to come back and see the case deals again (in black only) so I jumped on three of them for a total of $13.34! Huge mark down!
I wanted to get that 45W Charger but the way that dumb Samsung listed the items, it didn't confirm the specs of the item & the picture didn't show a US plug, just the 2-post one used in Korea (and elsewhere ?) so I didn't order the charger. I still have $186. credit but hopefully can use that on an Active2 Watch next month.
By using the Shop Samsung app, I was able to apply the $33.00 I had in points from using Samsung Pay. Online, I could have got an eBates/Rakutan rebate of 3% (and maybe could have gotten both but didn't followup for a phone order...oh well.)
Still looking forward to this Note 10+ no matter what anyone says!

YES! this frustrated the hell out of me. If you order the unlocked version, you get $600 off for Note 9 trade-in. But I also had the problems with the extreme discounts changing/not applying at checkout. I kept going back and starting over, same problems. I finally settled on getting the buds, charging pack and one of the cased that i knew wouldn't put me over the $200 credit. It told me i was leaving credits on the table, but I couldn't use them like they show (with the extreme discounts). I don't know if the system was being overwhelmed, or they just had problems with the app. Oh well.

I am on Xfinity Mobile. so I ordered through Samsung: unlocked Note 10+ in aura with 256gb. I'm getting 600 bucks for my Note 9, so my price was $531. And, wow, I think that price is pretty amazing for the latest, greatest, newest thing. With my 256gb sdxc card, I will have 512gb total, which is way, way, way more than I probably need.
Here I go again; I'll be pacing the floor for the next few weeks waiting for the shipping date. I do this every new Note.

I wanted to use my reserved order from Samsung, but was scared it would be a disaster to get BYOD working on my existing XM lines. Have you had any problems doing so?

I was able to do the pre-preorder. Got the 512 10+, trading in my Note 8. When I signed up for the preorder, I check to see what I'd get for it and the site said $300. When I actually ordered, it said $185. Not happy about that! :-(

I called Xfinity Mobile, and they told me that if the phone was unlocked, there would be no problem simply moving the sim card on my Note 9 to my new Note 10 plus.

If you used only part of the credit then the rest is gone. Only if you don't use anything you will see the e-coupon in the cart and will receive it 15 days after the phone is delivered basically after the return period is over. Even with that coupon it's a one time use, if you use only part of it in a order then the rest is gone. So when ordering you have to make sure you use the full amount.

I went with the buds and watch combo. I will sell both as i dont need them. Was torn between blue (my first choice) and the glow. I thought it would look like the stock images but now realize it changes depending on how light hits it. That's cool and all but my phone is backside-down most of the time and the blue is so pretty.

If I was to get the unlocked variant and use with ATT the advanced messaging, visual voicemail etc wouldn't work, correct? I preordered the ATT version but if all the lte functions work with unlocked there's no reason not to get unlocked w the 600 trade in vs 300

Not sure what advanced messaging is, I just use Googles messaging app. But ATT Visual Voicemail is an app.
