What Do You DISlike About 2 XL?

Actually,

ArsTechnica put image comparisons up of the Pixel 2 XL vs Pixel 2. You can see the difference in teh screens is quite astounding.

This is like the essential phone, you can see little dots on the inner digitize lcd and it's annoying as s*it when you finally notice it.
Are you saying the first XL had a better screen?

Had the 6p for 2 years now. I don't get the love for wireless charging at all. Didn't miss it when I lost it and there's no, **** I must have moved my phone in my sleep and the battery hasn't charged scenarios

Wireless is the only way I charge my s8. Works really well and stays cool. Have one at work at home so my plug never gets any action

I thought the white backgrounds looked a little more subdued. just watching the videos as I haven't seen it in person yet. This would be a plus as those stark, bright white backgrounds are annoying. What's wrong with having an off white or creamy color. This always drives me to 3rd party launchers

I'm mildly concerned about the screen thing, personally. Not concerned enough to stop from switching, though...

Also I dislike that everyone calls the Black and White version the Panda version...it's a penguin damnit! Look at the orange button! I don't see orange on Pandas! ;)

Both.

I used it at Best Buy yesterday and it looked terrible when compared to my Note 8. It has all the same problems as the LG V30's P-OLED screen.
Have you used one that's not a display and is your note 8 in vivid or basic mode?

The Note 8 is oversaturated in color which I kind of like, compared to the pixel 2 XL it was kind of dull, however I'm partial to the pixel 2 not the XL I like the flat screen, still undecided, usually not this hard of the decision

My Note 8 is in adaptive display which is the setting right out of the box and it's so much better looking than the P-OLED display. Google really dropped the ball on this year's model with that terrible display. Heck, last year's Pixel displays look better.

Ok thats the difference. Last year's Pixels in sRGB mode look almost identical to the colors of the new one.

I agree, I went three times to look at it and got even more disappointed each time I went. How is that phone even acceptable for production?

The Verizon expert at Best Buy allowed me to unbox the Pixel 2 XL because he didn't have it out on display yet and he wanted to see it and we were both disappointed with the display. I love how light and easy to hold the device is, but that screen left a lot to be desired.

It's too bad.
