What Do You DISlike About 2 XL?

No sd card. No headphone jack. The screen on the XL. The fact that to get the 128 gb version costs more than Note 8 without having as much space or again headphone jack. The lack of customization tweaks available via Samsung. Had the Pixel XL and hated it. Never did connect to my wifi and couldn't hold connection to LTE properly. Maybe they've fixed the connectivity problems here but I wouldn't risk it again. No Spen

Really not much it's lacking that's high on my checklist. But if there were one thing I could add, it would probably be an IR emitter. I mean, seriously, at the 18:9 screen ratio (wtf, does 2:1 not sound 'fancy' enough?), it would even look like a remote control! Well, that and a headphone jack, unless the bluetooth lag for video that has plagued my Google devices the past few generations is resolved.

Substratum works on Oreo 8.0 on my Pixel (No Root) I'm l loving the dark system UI. I'm sure I'll be able to do the same on my Pixel 2 . The camera is not perfect, but a step over the Pixel 1.

I can’t lie, I am really starting to worry about screen on my pixel 2XL pre-order. There seems to be a lot of people saying that it does not look very good. I’ve been to five Verizon stores and none of the XL phones are charged. Starting to feel like he signs that I should cancel my preorder. The lack of a headphone jack and secondary camera is giving me cause for pause as well

Just went in the developers settings on my OG Pixel XL and set it to sRGB. Ugh! Now I see why the complaints about the Pixel XL 2 screen. Glad Im waiting on the 3. Hope LG is no where near the screens by then. I had an LG G3, it was LCD, and was washed out ugly. I avoid LG phone's like the plague since then.

No wireless charging. USB C and quick charging are not replacement to this. I liked the latest Android on Nexus phones until 5 but now I`m on Samsung until Google brings back QI. I don`t care about the material of back because I use a case anyway. Use that hard plastic Samsung had on S3.

Just cancelled my 2 xl pre-order. Sucks because I really like the phone but I just could not get used to that screen. I tried 2 display models and 1 retail and there is no difference whatsoever. It feels like a downgrade from my u11. If the screen doesn't matter to you then you'll be getting a great phone. Unfortunately I just cannot spend $1000 on a phone that has a screen that looks identical to a cheap $100 metro pcs phone.

I saw the Pixel XL 2 at Verizon but didn't really see anything odd on the display. Can you tell me what specifically was the problem coz I just pre-ordered it.

Returns are free. No restocking fee. No risk trying.

I checked out a couple o video reviews from critics and I see what people mean. the XL version screen looks washed out/dull compared to Pixel 2, and there's a blue tint on the screen that's pretty apparent when you change the viewing angle by just a little bit. I wasn't fortunate enough to see it myself in a verizon store because the phone was turned off for some reason, but looking at critic reviews that have pointled out this flaw, I see what they mean.

I'm thinking twice about my purchase of the 2XL now. Larger screen estate(with smaller bezels)and resolution + slghtly more battery life is nice.. but is it worth $200 if its washed out?

edit: after looking at some videos, it doesn't seem as bad.

No wireless charging, I use that daily.

No head phone jack, I use that daily. Yes I could use an adapter but I use my phone for music in the car via aux and for music at home. With an adapter in the USB C port I cannot charge it while listening to music.

The stock Android experience, I don't like it as I need to download more apps to get the same software features I'm used to having.

Camera software, again it's stripped down and I would need to purchase and actual camera app to compete with Samsung/LG.

No dual camera, both a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens can be very useful, why feature neither of them?

No micro SD card slot, another feature I make regular use of but not an absolute deal breaker.

Pixel 2 is a solid phone, but it's not the phone for me.

Agreed

For me would be the size. Just wish it's a little smaller. Maybe a 5.5 or 5.8 inch screen so it's more comfortable to hold.
