What do you think? EVO vs EVO shift

Of coarse the 15fps is going to look choppy, that's a given. But the other two, it's just one bouncing square so yeah, it looks a little more fluid (I've seen it before). Get 10 bouncing squares and you'll notice no difference. It's more than just fps. It's also refresh rate, and how it's being delivered and by what means. So yeah (rolls eyes), whatever! ;)

You also must be running an 4 year old nvidia GPU in your PC because the difference is so subtle to me that it makes no difference. But I guess phone gaming is a totally different beast. One that I really could careless about.

Na running a Nvidia GTX480... Again my eyes can tell a difference between 30fps and 60fps as that sample shows. You can see it, if your not blind. Plus when swiping through screens is when FPS can become highly noticable.

I'm really disappointed that there is no FFC. While the whole concept might be new, I strongly believe it is going to be standard on most smartphones. I was eyeing this phone for my wife, but if there is no possibility of video chat, I will pass on this one, seems a step backward to me.

nope think im going to stick with my original EVO,its basically the same phone, just a physical keyboard.

I love the Evo's 4.3 inch screen but I dont see how people seem to trash the Shift for having a smaller one.

Before the Evo pretty much all the smartphones had around 3.2-3.7 inch screens and nobody complained.

The iPhone, G1, Droid 1, Palm Pre, etc were all around that area of 3.2-3.7 and people were complaining about other things besides the screen size.

If anything though in relations to the topic I dont think you can really compare the Evo vs Shift

To me I view it similar to the Droid X vs Droid 2.

Sprint is trying to build an Evo lineup of cell phones similar to how Verizon has the Droid lineup.

Verizon first released the Droid and it was a smash hit so they turned it into a whole lineup of phones in a series and Sprint is doing the same thing.

The Evo was a huge success and they are trying to replicate it into a whole lineup, the Evo Shift is only the first step.

No. After seeing my wife's Shift up close, I appreciate my Evo even more.

Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing little device, but I love the OG Evo. Big screen and everything.

Plus playing my NES and Genesis emulators on it are awesome :D

My wife and daughter both have Shifts and they are good little phones, but I LOVE my EVO. No way I am giving it up for the Shift.

I am actually kind of thinking about leaving the EVO and going to the EVO Shift just because the EVO is so big and the battery is a piece of crap! Currently my EVO only lasts about 2-3 hours and that's without emailing, texting, facebooking, etc.
