What do you use your SPen for?

I do alot of art sketches and Doodles. The free sketchbook app in galaxy gifts is a great app for drawing.

I used it mostly for note taking, picture editing, doodling and annotations. Since I work in an architecture role, sometimes ideas just hit me and I need to jot it down.

That is freaking adorable. Maybe Samsung needs to have a free parrot promo with each Note 8?

Parrots are not easy pets. Like in any way shape or form, and I advice against getting them to most people lol. But she is adorable when she isnt screaming at the top of her lungs because i left the room without her...

OMG, how sweet! What kind of bird is he/she? Looks a little like my Jardine (lost her in '07) and a little like my Blue Headed Pionus.

Shes a bronze wing pionus. 14 yr old rescue :)

YES!!! All of that ^

We currently have an Umbrella Cockatoo that is basically insane. He just turned 20. The Pionus is 19. They and a Cockatiel we lost in '94 were purchased from three different breeders. We have a Cockatiel that was a rescue, as was our Jardine, and a blue Parakeet.

Yet I too would not recommend them to most people. They are deafeningly loud, messy and mostly nuts!

But back on topic...

One of my most used features of the S Pen (well, of S Note) is the "Link to Action" feature of Action Memo. One of the craziest things that Samsung removed when they replaced S Note with sh*tty Samsung Notes :/

And somehow I only recently realized you can search your Action Memos AND S Notes, whether the content is typed, or written in cursive.

Same with finding out about setting reminders via Action Memo!

Texting(easier to Swype without fat thumb in way)
Drawing/Sketching on the go
Quick Notes(especially convienent while on a call)
Photo editing in Lightroom is easier.
Web Browsing, the pen can hover over drop down menus and display them on websites that aren't mobile friendly.

To mock WWE wrestler Chris Jericho (Y2J) and say "You just made the list" then write the name down. Haha yeah I need to go to bed:)

There were so many things you could do with that S Pen and I don't think I touched the service on most of them, I was learning and having no Note friends around to learn from or me teach them something but I miss it so much that I bought a gadget that had a rubber nub on it, about the size of a pencil and I use that alot with the last 2 phones I've had. I have even created my signature to use in letters and notes and it looks exactly like I just signed it. I also cutout pictures and quotes, etc, that I use in my scrapbooking.

My main s-pen usage is taking notes (I do this daily) I currently have an S8+ and use an external stylus. It's a bit awkward and it's not as precise as an s-pen but it works.

Cheers,
BR
Waiting for my N8 :)

I use the S-Pen for everything. It's much easier to use than my finger and it keeps the screen free from smudges.

Everything. Once you start getting in the habit of taking it out and actually using it, you start to default to taking it out every time. For me at least.

I used to Note 7's for note taking mostly. It worked OK but always seen typing as the better option. It's great for annotating notes though!

The only thing I ever used the S Pen for was for jotting down quick notes. I didn't use it for anything else.

Note taking, photos, journaling etc. Been using it since the 1st Note. I even installed it on S8 but not the same w/o s-pen.
