What do you want included/changed in the first update?

OK, I carry a Photon, and have had ADW on for so long that I don't remember what the stock MotoBlur launcher was like. I have mentioned a new launcher to my wife, and she is concerned about underlying Sense functionality. with Nova on top, all underlying Sense is intact, correct? Also, what in your opinion makes Nova the best aftermarket launcher?

The only time I really see or notice stock Sense once Nova is in place:

1. The lock screen -- no getting around this (that I'm aware of) for now.
2. The various settings/options pages
3. The stock Sense applications (Phone, Mail, SMS, etc) -- I happen to really like these. You actually 'unlock' a couple apps like Car Mode and some Office suite that are disabled when using on ATT w/ Sense (both work). Car Mode is pretty nice!

Otherwise, things are really just as they were on my Nexus 4 running pure Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Honestly (said this in my review post), in a lot of ways I think the combination of Sense and a good launcher is better than pure 'stock'. HTC's experience shows... the stock applications (for my use and taste) are MUCH better than stock JB offerings. I'm completely happy with the built in dialer, mail (needed for Exchange support), SMS and calendar apps (no need for 3rd party). I run the Gmail app for my personal account.

Nova is just offers a lot of customization, I never have problems with it (no battery or CPU drain) and out of the few I've tried it just gets out of my way and works the way I'd expect it to. If I went with something else, it'd probably be Action Launcher as I really like the idea of it's new 'Shutters' feature. I really hope the Nova developers implement something like that. What keeps me from switching is no ability to change icons in Action Launcher (supposed to be coming soon) and the fact that Nova just works so well for me.

Hope that helps.

Faster charging. I believe with li-poly you can charge pretty quickly up to a certain point then trickle charge your way up to 100%

Hi
Just install widgetsoid and you can have your notification toggles back.

Russ.

With Widgetsoid in the Notification shade, does it toggle DIRECTLY from the shade or does it open another dialog that you then press to toggle the desired radio? I use Power Toggles, and it does the latter. I would prefer to have the toggle happen directly from the notification bar as it does on a Samsung (at least I didn't compare to an iThing :p ). Just curious, because I will switch on my phone and put this on her One if it works as I would like. Thanks for the heads up.

I wouldn't mind having seven home screens back! Option to shut off blinkfeed! Long press back button for menu! Option to remove text from icons on home screens! I really liked the picture widgets on my evo, I want them back!

I agree with most if not all of the suggestions everybody has listed. I only have one to add but this is a BIG one for me, borderline dealbreaker.

The main reason I chose the HTC One over any other phone was the camera for low light photos. Unfortunately in extremely low light where the flash absolutely has to be used, I'm finding the camera has a hard time focusing so the pictures come out blurry. This could be easily fixed via software by using the LED flash to work as an autofocus assist light. I hope they add this!!!

Thanks for starting this thread!

If it's done what's the point of this thread, shouldn't this be more for 4.3?

*I want more customization and content on Blink Feed meaning I don't want US Sports I want NFL or even better select my favorite teams.

*It's been point out, I want my Notification Panel not having it feels like I'm using an iPhone. :p LOL

*Change the LED Notification so that it's ACTIVE when CHARGING.

*I would love it if hTc can make the logo active as a Menu button or what making the Back Button when held down as a Menu. I'm used to it but would love for Apps to have more screen space.

To remove power saving in notification long press on power saver and click info. Force close. Then it's gone till it turns on.

I did this and it tells me it may misbehave. What exactly would that be? Does it randomly turn on/off whenever after that?

When you force close anything it will tell you that by default. Just go ahead and close it. It's safe to do so. I turn it on when I wanna use it.

For all I know this could already be an option but I haven't found it but I'd like the ability to add Owner Info to the lock screen like I was able to do when running CM10 on my Epic 4G.

It (Nova) knocks out a bunch of stuff in addition to BlinkFeed. Much better to have the option to turn BlinkFeed off. (Which I would do in about two nanoseconds if I had the option.)

1. Make it so you can disable (completely) BlinkFeed.
2. More than 5 screens. I "upgraded" from my EVO and went from seven screens (with several "Scenes" -effectively 21+ screens) to 5 with one unusable thanks to BlinkFeed.
3. Better contact management. The current system sucks rocks compared to the one on my EVO.
4. Do something about that godawful interface. We get smartphones with better displays and more power and every iteration of the UI is uglier than the last. It's as if they decided to fire all their graphic designers and have the programmers make the graphics. Sad, sad, sad.
