Is that 150%-200% the average time or 150%-200% more than the average time? (1.5-2.0*x) or (1.5-2.0*x+x)?

IR Sensor so that I can use the phone as a television remote control with the Peel app.

Funny you mentioned that, those of us who had the Samsung i730 Windows Mobile phone about 7 years ago or so actually had that feature (see photo below). Not just the IR sensor, but an app to work with most all TV's at the time. Fun stuff at bars and friends houses, messing with the TV. I tried moving the app to the HTC Mogul, which also had an IR sensor. It sort of worked, except the IR sensor on the Mogul was more for phone-to-phone file transfer at close distances, and it didn't work very far away, though the earlier Samsung i730 would work on TV's 15 or so feet away.

So let's get that back, and since we'll have IR back, maybe there is a way to use it to measure distances up to a certain distance, a range-finder sort of. And through in a laser pointer too.
