What have you found in froyo?

What have I found? I find it to be very very slow from the messaging at..Doesnt make sense and even more choppy

under sms messaging..if u click on the compose box..once the keyboard pops up...click ur menu button..and you'll see where u can add a subject to your text message..

it also gives u a list of smileys...

didn't know if that was part of 2.1 or if its new with the 2.2

Possible minor calendar bug:

I've got an old, unused calendar in my google account that was once used to remind me to take medicines. I shifted from this calendar to an app (Pillbox Alert), because the many different medicine reminders clogged up my calendar and made it look like my time was blocked from taking a meeting.

Anyway I had disabled that calendar by unchecking it in Calendar settings on my Evo and under Eclair I stopped getting alerts...but I just got a calendar notification to take a pill (simultaneously with the Pillbox Alert notification). It looks like Froyo might be sending alerts from undisplayed calendars where Eclair suppressed them.

I deleted that calendar altogether before thinking; I'll try to replicate the bug with a new calendar this evening.

I noticed the "3G" font in the status bar is slighty different...

Also, settings for the "Display" now have their own option... :)

Glitch I found with twitter - is that even though I told it to not sync contacts, it did anyway. Just had to go to "Accounts and Sync", hit Sync Contacts and then un-check it. Then to people, the view, and had to check "TwitteR" and uncheck it and it was fixed...

Wifi much improved with Froyo

I updated yesterday to .6 and I still have all my apps and all my settings seemed to be untouched:) I'm getting much improved wifi range and now Im looking for Flash games to try out?

Also see that when you go to view your "labels" in the Gmail app, if you have a color associated with it online, then it will show in the labels section of the gmail app.

Having a little problem. I noticed in the beginning that someone was watching live feeds on espn3. But every time I try and access it, it puts me back to the google search menu. It will open up google and show a listing of different espn3 sites and all, but if I try and open the espn3 site from google, it pushes me back to my google search menu. Any ideas?

Update: I noticed anytime I try and access that site, it puts me back to where ever I was before. If I try to manually put it in from the internet icon, it puts me back to my home screen where my internet icon is. I guess it doesn't like that site for some reason. I can pretty much get to any other site I put in. Interesting!

Vonage voicemail attachments no longer play when downloaded from Gmail. Says unable to play this type of audio format. Wtf?

In the most recent 2.1 OTA, I was not able to establish a PPTP VPN Connection on a laptop connected through either tethering or wifi hotspot.
In 2.2, that appears to have been corrected. Now I am able to establish the VPN connections reliably.

My downloaded apps are not showing up in the market under 'downloads'. Well, my paid apps are, but not the free ones. Any ideas? I want to be notified of updates/set to update automatically.

They will all show up the next time you download a free app.

Unable to play this type of audio

I am getting the same issue. I was able to play my voicemail attachments with 2.1, but now with 2.2 it is stating that it cannot play this type of file. Does anyone know why it changed from 2.1 to 2.2?
