What have you found in froyo?

My ESPN Radio App that I paid 4.99 for doenst wornk anymore with FROYO! No audio now.

It will work again when 2.2 is released. This has been stated several times.

I just installed 2.2 on my EVO and it seems to be running faster... I might be late on this but I didnt know you could use the front camera for taking pictures (no flash of course) I thought it only did video but I just noticed this after the update. Internet seem to run faster too

Now the screen doesn't turn off due the proximity sensor if you are connected to a bluetooth headset. This was annoying in 2.1 because my finger would trip the proximity sensor when reaching for the notification bar and the screen would turn off.

I have greatly improved wi fi.


But, I cannot receive picture messages while wi fi is on, but if I turn it off it works fine.

Other than that the manual update has been gold for me.

That's sprint, picture i.e. mms works on their network. Does work on WiFi when it wants to.

Does moving apps to the sd card only work for certain apps or do I have to delete and resinstall? Seems like the option is currently grayed out on most of my apps but when I deleted and reinstalled Pandora, the option became available.

Its up to the developer to decide if their apps can be moved to sd card.

I have the option to move to SD card WITHOUT reinstalling Pandora.

Edit: Now that I think about it, you quite possibly had an older version of Pandora installed (pre-move to SD enabled) and then when you reinstalled, updated to newest version that allowed moving to SD.

Been running the .3 build and I must say I'm liking it alot. Only complaint I have is every time I plug in to use as USB my background gets changed to the rainbow live wall paper but its not live its just static. Anyone else seen this?

I can no longer sort contacts by last name first. I have 800 someodd contacts and would much rather them be sorted by last name.

Nevermind, just did a factory reset and that seemed to have fixed the problem as wells several others. Should have the factory reset on Friday after installing. Everything seem to be running MUCH better since the reset.

Please excuse my noobness but when you do a factory reset what happens ?

I mean I have the retracted froyo build now and if I do a factory reset do I lose that build and all my apps or what ?

I wouldnt mind doing a factory reset just because I'm assuming it would be like restarting my PC every now and then making it a lot faster or like a defrag type thing.

Also when I moved Pandora over the my SD Card I lost my homesceen widget for it. It used to have a small bar that displayed the artist and had a thumbs up/down , play/pause, skip feature now it's gone and I can't out to get it back.. I have not restarted my phone since moving the app to the SD card however and I can't anything under widgets for pandora..

It just stays there (blank) and the program (k9) opens up underneath and I have to manually close the notification window...

Nope, you could take pics with the front facing camera in 2.1 as well, not new.

I noticed this too...only a couple times. Thought I was going crazy.
