What is my Galaxy Tab 2 downloading?

galaxy tab 2 says------

Read your forum and got it to finally turn on with holding volume button and on button. Now it has a pic of the green android on it telling me to not shut it off because it is downloading. Downloading what I have no idea. It won't turn off and has been this way for over an hour. Anyone know what the problem is? It tells me not to turn off target. In the right hand corner it says ODIN MODE, product name, custom binary download, current binry: Samsung official. I don't understand what it is doing. Can someone please help me? Thank You

Since you have nothing plugged in, it is OK to reboot it. Do so by long pressing the power button.

It won't turn off so that I can reboot it. It won't do anything. What is it doing? The green android just sits there and tells me it is downloading and not to turn off target. It won't turn off even when plugged in.
