What is that little circle with three dots inside of it?

So is there no way to disable this? It's really annoying since all of the dozen or so apps it comes up for already have their own menu button on screen and don't need a hardware button or the floating system button.

In fact on most of the apps it doesn't even work, you tap it and nothing happen. It literally does nothin more than take up space on my screen

exactly ... it does nothing ... you hit and nothing occurs ... but you can slide it around! thanks samsung

From what I've read here, it seems the solution is contacting the developer to update the app to be Lollipop compliant.

Huh interesting. I was wondering what that was. I've seen it in several apps but it has never brought up an actual menu when you tap.

I just killed it on my Galaxy S5 (on which I have not installed recent Android update) by long pressing it. A bar popped up at the top and I sent it to "REMOVE"

All done.

If you need to get rid of this (for example if it is annoying or you are using the Tablet in a Kiosk mode and don't want the user to leverage this menu), then you can delete it. Hold your finger on the menu for a few seconds and a menu option will appear on the top of the screen allowing you to either EDIT or DELETE this menu. I found that I had to use two hands to do this as the top menu disappeared when I took my finger of the circular menu. This worked on a Samsung Galaxy S Tablet.

i literally just had this same problem. i just now removed it, all you have to do is long press to hold it and on the upper right of your screen there should be a box that says remove and you just drag it there.

All you have to do is go to your settings, and click toolbox. There, you can turn it on and off in the top right hand corner.

Just checked my settings and didn't see "toolbox." Not sure having Verizon as my company makes a difference.

Im. Getting circles all over my screen when I touch the screen and I especially

Z5 compact experia
Type And it makes my typing all over the place and wrong. Soo I need to find out how to get rid of these damb circles
I v Googled it and I only got info upto the z3 saying it's a setting in developers options then turn something of or on or disable
Any help much appreciated

That seems like the Toolbox, a very convenient feature that was included with S5 and Note 4, I still can't find it on the S6, so somehow you have it and don't even know what it is and me that I'm looking for it can't manage to find it.

If you go to setting, toolbox, you can turn it off.

Just click and hold and it'll appear a remove button on the top and voila! It's a kind of useless menu so you can remove it anytime Your welcome

I accidentally opened this feature on my Galaxy S 5 in my research I have found that is the icon for the toolbox you can go into settings and search for the toolbox to turn it on or off

How long of a long press. I've held it for several seconds, and nothing.

There is a white dot on your screen that opens another menu that is curved. You can get rid of the dot, but not the menu. If you press the dot to open the me u you can rotate the menu to get to settings and goto swipe and trigger mode and choose swipe. The dot goes away.

I have this on my Galaxy Core Prime. None of the above suggestions work (of course) and I have searched the phone and played with many settings. It seems to only show up in a single game. This isn't part of the game itself as I have played it on other devices and that circle is not there.

It reminds me of the notification from Facebook's Messenger where when someone messages you and their profile picture shows up on the screen and you could move it around if you didn't want to view the message at that time. Tapping it would open Messenger.

However the phone does not have messenger nor Facebook installed on it. There is a small chance I had it installed once upon a time, but it is no longer on the phone nor the sd card-it's a new sd card.

I want this to go away. It does nothing when tapped nor when long pressed. I can move it all over the screen but that's it. I'm annoyed by it even though the circle is see through.

I have not tried resetting the phone and starting all over from the beginning. I rather not do this as I would need to reformat my SD card which would mean taking off the important items (pictures, downloads, and what have you), format the card and then putting the stuff back onto it.

While this may sound easy and in all respects it is, it is the time it takes to do all these steps and add the fact I would then have to reinstall apps and sign into some of those apps. Which also means I need to remember sign in information; what apps used what email address, the passwords....you guys know the drill. And in the end, I have absolutely no idea if that would even remove the silly thing! I would probably cry if I did all of this and it was still there.

I've had this phone since late 2015. I got upset with MetroPCS and stopped using the phone about middle 2016. I just started using it again through AT&T because water got spilled on my Galaxy S4 and fried the charging port. Fun times.

Yes, I've already done a post about this in the Galaxy Core Prime forums. (http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ree-vertical-dots-appear-app.html#post5822331). Just thought I would toss this here in case someone like myself happens to stumble upon this particular thread. Also for the "This happens on many devices" factor of it as well.

You can turn ot off. Go to settings, click on Tools Box and slide "on" tab to "off." I just changed mine. For some reason it appeared today, never wad thete before.

I found the easy solution which may amaze you by the fact it's pretty simple. Just hold your finger on the button and wait till it shows edit or remove. Then just drag the circle to whatever you'd like.
