What is the 3.5mm plug on my Samsung OTG cable for?

I recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S7. In addition to the regular USB/Charging cabel, there is what Samsung identified as a OTG cable. It has the micro USB on one end and it Ys to a standard USB and a 3.5mm plug. What is the plug for? I have tried headphones and nothing.

Do you have a picture of what this cable looks like?

The standard OTG adapter that comes with the S7 should look like this, with just male MicroUSB on one end and female USB-A on the other. No 3.5mm.
